I don t know what the previous parent s talking about. First, the turnover of middle school teachers is no higher than average for any grade level. There ve been no more than 1-3 teachers leave per year over the past few years for the entire district, mostly from retirements. If a high school teacher was comparing older and younger kids, I m sure it was to encourage the younger kids to perform like the high school kids. As for grudges/negative comments about kids, I only know teachers to be positive and nurturing, encouraging the best from kids. If there was a negative incident, it was surely an error, and certainly not commonplace. As for history, one cannot teach history of Western civilization without involving Christianity. The history of Western civilization IS the history of Christianity. Is there really a problem with a teacher using his/her own knowledge, instead of some canned text book?

The elementary school has a high turnover of middle school teachers this is hard on the kids. There are also high school teachers teaching the middle school grades and he often makes the comments of how his seniors can do better than the 8th a nd7th graders . Well I would hope so . But that does not help the middle school kids any. There is a definite favoratism to kids involved in sports. The teachers openly hold grudge on a kid and are not above making negative comments to them in the hallways for all to hear. On the other hand, parents are encouraged to help out in any way and are welcome in any class room to observe. The high school has an excellent leader. He knows the kids by name. They are very good at reporting problms with your child and make an effort to know the parents. The kids are encouraged to set their goals to a continuing education. There are some concerns on how World History and Colonial History are taught. There is a lot of emphasis on Chistianity. The teacher uses only notes and no text book.
