As an alum of SJB, I am proud that my children are also receiving a stellar education to prepare them above and beyond for high school and on. The statistics of our SJB students that graduate from Plymouth High School in the top of their senior class speak for itself...and that is something that has been true for many, many years and continues today. The principal, teachers, and staff are incredibly personable and truly care about each and every student. It was very important to my husband and I that our children be in a learning environment that celebrates God and His greatness throughout the day and throughout each and every subject. The values that we teach at home are reinforced at school, and we have seen our children grow spiritually, morally, socially, and academically. We really, really love SJB and find it worth every last penny and then some!
As a new family to the Plymouth area, we did quite a bit of research into the various options available to us. We are confident that we made the right choice sending our two children to SJB. I was extremely pleased to hear the morning announcements praising ladylike and gentlemanly behavior. They celebrate the best in the children, and are instilling a solid education where faith is central in the learning process. Your kids will receive a solid education, with ethics and morals at the core. Our two children have come home with smiles and excitement every day. I am also very impressed by the teachers and thier willingness to sacrifice their time to help the kids. We truly have found a home for our two children for hopefully many years.
St John the Baptist has very caring staff, but cannot accommodate varied student types or learning styles. It is a one size fits all mentality within the classrooms at SJB. Not worth the added tuition expense. Other area school are far superior.
As a graduate of St. John the Baptist I felt confident that my husband and I had made the right decision to send our children to SJB. Our children are in the lower grades so I cannot tell you much about the current way the upper grades work, but I can tell you my boys love the fact that their teachers care. My second grade son has not had a teacher he hasn't liked. How can you not like a teacher who plays the accordian while the kids sing along. My younger son is just starting out in the 4 year kindergarten program. He too, loves his teacher and all that she does for them. She always has a smile on her face and always looks to the positive. We look forward to more years to come for our boys at St. John the Baptist.
