There is a new teacher in this classroom, who has really incorporated meaningful learning with an environmental basis, with the necessary curriculum needed for the middle school level. The administration and the teacher have a working relationship which benefits the students. Students have an opportunity to excel in their environmental interests. Can't say enough good about this school!

River Crossing ROCKS! I love this school. The hands-on experiances give an awesome outlook on how math and everyday skills are integrated in the environment. More than once, I found myself forgetting that I was at school. Learning here is fun! You don't realize you're learning until you think about everything that happened that day (which you do often). You also WANT to go to school! You come home in a good mood, and always have a story to tell.

I sent two daughters through this program, and they both loved it. One has just been named a National Merit Scholarship finalist--obviously the program was of value to her during junior high, a time when girls sometimes falter in their academics. Both daughters are near the tops of their high school classes. River Crossing was wonderful, teaching them to think critically, and to connect their physical activities (burning prairies, collecting seeds, building woodland paths) with the world of academics.
