Roosevelt is still a neighborhood school. Longevity among the teaching staff is one of its strengths. Many great events are held for students, such as Teddy Roosevelt's birthday in October and an entire month (March) dedicated to reading! Monthy movie nights, a huge back to school corn roast and spring carnival are just a few of the wonderful family-oriented activities that take place during the school year. Being a Title I School, many activities also take place to bring parents, students and staff together in the hopes of improving math and reading scores. Kids like going to school at ROOSEVELT!
