I really like this school! Central has some very neat things to offer. The band program here is awesome. Central has some awesome sports teams such as cross country, volleyball, softball and many other sports. Central just recently built a new athletics stadium, a new tennis court, an 8 lane all weather track, and a new softball field. There are some down sides though, the school is overcrowded and some of the teachers weren't the most helpful and willing to help students. Otherwise, this is a great school!!

My son attends this school. He gets all the one on one attention he could need. I am very happy with the teachers.

This school is horrible. It has more students than it can handle. This causes over crowding and confusion.

I love my school. But, there really is no reward for taking honors or AP classes other than your college transcripts, because there is not GPA balancing-- if you get all A's in disgustingly easy classes, you have a higher GPA than someone who got six A's and one B in a schedule which has three AP classes and two honors classes. But, the quality of education and the teachers are really good.

I have had three children pass through Central. Each received an outstanding education. They were extremely well prepared for college, where they excelled. Teachers at Central were willing to give extra instruction to students who asked for help, even if it went beyond their contracted time. The extra-curricular programs need some help, but I'd much rather see the tax dollars being spent on academics than sports.

my second son is graduating in 05/08 and has also been accepted into Wisc. Madison. Top notch caring teachers and very opportunistic AP program rewards students willing to buy into the program. The academics, athletics, and technical programs are all top notch and merit an excellent rating. Two happy parents.

Westosha Central offers so much for a student to really grow and excell with. I believe it offers some of the best oppurtunties for those students going in any direction. I feel very safe, comfortable, and very happy going to Central.

About the tests

In 2011-2012 Wisconsin used the Wisconsin Student Assessment System (WSAS), which includes the WKCE and WAA, to test students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 in math and reading, and in grades 4, 8 and 10 in language arts, science and social studies. The WSAS is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Wisconsin. The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level. In private schools, only voucher program participants are tested.

The different student groups are identified by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. If there are fewer than 5 students in a particular group in a school, the state doesn't report data for that group. Subgroup scores for each school are only reported for students who were enrolled as of the fall enrollment count. The All students score includes results for all students who took the test, regardless of when they first enrolled in the school.
