Although the school is improving a little on disciplinary consequences lately, there have been little or no consequences for students skipping school, being disrespectful toward teachers, not doing homework, failing classes, being unprepared for class, bullying, swearing, etc. The administration takes little action and leaves the teachers to deal with it on their own. It results in major discipline problems that my children think are 'normal' now unfortunately. The curriculum is hardly challenging and teachers tend to teach to the more lower skilled, unmotivated population, since that is the majority.

As a parent of a kindergartner, I was deeply disturbed by the way the school was. Kids would regualarly walk away from classrooms without teacher supervision after concerts or mid-school day events. My sons teacher gave me excuses why he didn't finish his work. We took him out of the school and his grades improved drastically.
