I am currently a seventh grader at Yorkville. When the 2007-2008 school year begins in September, all of the students will come back to a bigger, newer school with plenty of new faces to meet. That is because Yorkville is gaining another building with classrooms, a new, much larger gym, an auditorium that seat over 200 people, and more! I am excited for all of the new students coming this year. I am sad though, because one of the best things about Yorkville is the smallness of it. You have that feeling of knowing everyone, kindof like being a family. I'm just afraid that with two buildings, three way seperation of classes, and only seeing my friends at lunch and recess, that feeling of closeness and knowing everyone will be gone. Either way, it's a great school and I love it!
I just graduated (June 8TH 2004) from this school and I loved every minute of it. Unforunately, Mrs. Vaness, Mrs. Kocach, and Mrs. Christensen retired this year. This is a good, caring, and educating school. I love my old Yorkville School forever!!!
