Never more happier with a school they really care about the child for who they are and what they can accomplish not just treat them as another number added into thier school

We have a 5th grader and 3rd grader at Country View and couldn't be more thrilled. There is a real community feel about the school and the Verona school district in general. We feel fortunate that when we moved to Wisconsin from California that we were able to find a home within walking distance to the school. The teachers we have had have been terrific. Our children have had the same teachers twice now and each time we've had a great experience. In all the years that we've been at Country View, we have not had one negative experience. We can't speak highly enough about this school, its staff, principal and teachers. I could give many examples when I feel they have exceeded our expectations. Parent involvement at this school is also very high.

My daughter is in her last year at Country View and so far we have had mixed experiences, but on the whole it has been acceptable. Her first year was fantastic. Her first grade teacher was the best teacher she's had so far in her school experience. We have definately discovered that it pays to be as involved as possible as there was an ongoing issue with her behavior that we were not informed about until it had been going on for over a year. Kari has special needs as well which have been fairly well accomodated. If I were asked by a parent entering Country View, I would strongly recommend several things: Keep involved and fill out the placement forms between school years.

Our limited amount of experience at Countryview has been tepid. Teacher burnout has been apparent and has limited the quality of the classroom environment. It has been found that our child is capable of work that is 2 grade levels above his grade yet he is not provided with higher expectations or challenges beyond those of the kids at grade level. When the issues were brought up to the staff several times, we were assured that they had ideas that would work, but no action was taken to improve. As a result, and despite our best efforts, our child is losing interest in school and will not put forth any effort to complete assignments, etc.. The curriculum and overall structure seems to be fantastic for kids who do not have special needs, but the manpower is not available to address the needs of all. Again, our experience is limited to one year, and as with all school districts in our area, budget cuts will end up leaving some children behind.
