If I would have known then what I know now, I wouldn't have sent our child here. She was bullied by 4th and 5th grade teachers and not encouraged to excel but rather told to'feel sorry for kids who don't have what you do' and who bit her numerous times and this biting kid who acts like an animal is still doing it in jr. high.The 4th grade teacher was only interested in how she held a pencil and the 5th grade teacher concentrated on how he could get our daughter and the biting kid to be friends.Their obs were to teach our child and we had to do that job at home or she would have 'been left behind' because she doesnt' fall in the lower IQ group which gets the programs, she falls into the upper group which until jr. high was ignored. The Wausau School District needs to meet all these needs or the Charter/Academy schools will and should take over.
