My wife and I have three children at Wilson this year and have had nothing but excellent things to say about the staff and curriculum, year after year. We are simply amazed at how every teacher we've encountered has the talent and time to teach our children, and then individually assess their abilities, strengths, and weaknesses. I'm shocked at the review about "blonde haired blue eyed" children receiving preference. Not the school I know. Suggest those parent(s) should look inward instead of pointing fingers?!
My daughter attended Kindergarten at Wilson, and initially I was pleased. As the year went on, however, it became clear that there was great disparity in the quality of the Kindergarten teachers. Amazingly enough, the 'bad' teacher had all the minority children, while the 'good' teacher had all the blonde haired, blue-eyed children. I mentioned this to the School Board and was told it was completely coincidental. Right.
I moved to this area last year, and found out the teacher at JK is wonderful, my daughter love to go to this school because she love Ms. Mottte. She have lots of fun at this school and the kids in her classroom are very respectful.
Wilson Elementary school and the Wauwatosa School of Science and Technology are both housed in the same building. This setup is truly amazing. A parent can choose between sending there child to a more traditional school or a more science based school at the same location. Both schools have excellent teachers and administration that will go out of their way to ensure your child s success.
We have two students enrolled in the Tosa School of Science and Technology.I highly recommend this school. The teachers are awesome!
Wilson now has a charter school in it - The Tosa School of Science and Technology. There is the 'regular' school and then the charter school. There is some tension - but overall I think both schools are very good. I would like to see more emphasis on grammar, spelling and traditional math.
Wilson School is amazing. The parents, students, teachers, and staff take pride and ownership in the kids' educational success. You won't find a better school around!
We just moved to this school and the academics are great! The special classes (art, gym, music) are fantastic. I highly recommend this school. The parents are extrememly involved in the school environment.
I am a mother of 5 and find this school an awesome school. my eight year has grown and developed into a wonderful excellent student at Wilson. The staff is caring helpful and knowledgeable.
