I believe this is a good school for those students who subcribe to the mormon faith, it you are not mormon I believe Powell is a better choice. I believe it does provide students with a good education, and it does prepare them for college. Socially is where this school fails...students are treated unfairly if they are not of the mormon faith. Your administration is 100% mormon and their personal beliefs are incorporated into this school. There is always a majority and a minority in every situation, so it is a very personal decesion if you are not mormon and choose this school. If I did it again my children would have attended a more deversified school, such as Powell. Not because this is a bad school, but because it is very religously based.

I graduated from this school. As a non-Mormon I felt outcast, unwanted and was often friendless. I wouldn't recommend sending you child here unless you subscribe to the Mormon faith.

Five of our six children have graduated from Rocky Mountain High School. It's strengths are small classes and its teachers and administration, the majority of whom care personally about the students and bend over backwards to help them. However, the school is lacking in gifted student programs, advanced placement otions, etc. Because of its small size, Rocky cannot offer much variety in its curriculum, especially for college-bound students. Such students are also unprepared for the amount of reading and homework required at the college level, because Rocky doesn't require it.

Rocky Mountain High School is a great school regardless of what this website says. I have children who have attended this school and they recieved a great education where teachers put kids first.
