Most schools in the city of Cheyenne are outstanding and we know because we have lots of experience with the schools here. Both our children attended elementary school here. Jessup is the best elementary schools due to the hard work and commitment of principle and staff. The all day gifted program "Trailblazers" is at Pioneer Park Elementary school but they bus the gifted kids from all over the city to attend. The schools here should be the best part of your tour at F E Warren.

Parents considering a move to Cheyenne should understand the reality of school assignment. Jessup, and the other top schools, are oversubscribed. Children in their neighborhoods are sent by bus to other schools in the district which have lower enrollment on the date the child shows up to attend the school. Cheyenne does not add any modular classrooms to accommodate population growth. The result is that the spots in the schools appear largely to be reserved for parents who are long-time residents of the local school area and who have children already enrolled.
