Despite the 3/10 score I have had a good experience with this school. Over the last 3 years they have gone through 3 principals. But their current principal is great and he is a long time resident. So I feel he will stay for the long haul. I really like the secretaries. This area has a lot of programs for the kids to stay busy. Your child will succeed as long as you stay involved. There is a big problem here with parents not being involved with their childs education.
I don't know how this school got a 2 of 10. We moved here from Idaho just a year ago and found this school has done wonders for my kids! I have a son with ADHD, reactive attachment disorder, defiance disorder, and a few other diagnosed disorders. He can be combative and defiant and not do work enough to even get a grade. The wonderful teachers have been so patient and have pushed him to complete work and have given him appropriate grade based on his performance. A D+ is an acceptable grade to me when he is actually putting forth the effort to do some work.
The school got a rating of 2 out of 10! And they find this acceptable,,that is sad. Maybe if the school district did something about the quality of teaching in Green River schools instead of making excuses for them it might help make a difference.
