About the test
In 2013-2014 Wyoming administered the Proficiency Assessments for Wyoming Students (PAWS) in reading and math to students in grades 3 through 8 and 11, in science in grades 4, 8 and 11, and in writing in grades 5 and 7. GreatSchools ratings currently reflect 2013 test data. PAWS tests are standards-based, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Wyoming. The goal is for all students score at or above the proficient level.
