Susan Solomon Yem recently moved 3000 miles from Boston to San Francisco to resettle closer to three of her five adult children. She has written for the Boston Globe, Family Circle, and member publications of Parenting Publications of America. She is a freelance writer and school administrator who will always identify herself as a mother first.
