I think the Teachers should be #1. Great teachers make for a great school. When you have great teachers, everything else falls into place. I love my daughters teachers and I love her school. I wish every school had teachers like them!!

nurturing and encouraging environment
hygiene and sanitation
structured, transparent and a school which has parents up to date on a child's progress

I absolutely agree that sanitation should be high on the list, along with nutrition and activities that allowe students to be creative in THEIR own way and encouraging exploration. All of those are number ones for me :)
