How to use this chart:
• Have your child pick a learning goal. (Some examples: reading alone for 15 minutes, practicing multiplication tables, or looking up a new word in the dictionary.)
• Color in a star each time that goal is reached — there are 20 stars total. It’s OK to work on a goal once a day, try for more than one per day, or even skip a day. Whatever works best for your child.
• Once all the stars are filled in, your child gets a reward. The reward can be a toy or treat. Or it can cost nothing, like an extra hour of TV, a family game of basketball, or the right to choose the Sunday-dinner menu. Whatever you and your child agree on!
