We went to this school because we heard good things about the curriculum. There's a waiting list and in order to ensure we get in, we were advised to switch during the current year. We did, in April. At the end of April, we get an "official notice" that my kindergarden son will be held back because he doesn't have enough grades in a subject that did not exist at the other school. They say "we might" be able to submit a packet in July, and he "might" pass. I asked for the package now, so we have time to make up any work, and that would be a non issue. They don't have it and told me to wait for him to fail first. That's unacceptable. He has no chances to get to 67% in a month because he doesn't have that amount of work submitted. The kid is smart, can do the work, but has no opportunities to make up for it and is put on a path to fail? Packets with work missed should be given to transferring students, on their first day. They should not be put on a path to fail regardless of the quality of their work. Please note we came from advanced charter, with a foreign language and an uniform.

Bridges has been a game changer for our family for the last 3 years. Our daughter has received an incredible start through the clear and proven Montessori method of early childhood education, and we have been consistently impressed and honestly grateful for the kindness, patience and compassion of the staff at the Towson campus. They are always open to conversation about students' development and needs, and each of them has a gift for caring for young children. We can't recommend Bridges highly enough and we will carry fond memories of our daughter's time here through the rest of our lives. Thank you, Bridges!

The elementary campus is great with great teachers! The secondary campus is not well run. They have a communications director who gossips about all parents and students and favors only certain programs who get all the credit for everything. She really needs to go for this school to run like a professional school should. The athletics director only cares about 2 sports and those are the ones he coaches- baseball and basketball. Most all other sports are coached by parents who have their own kids on the team and give them special treatment. The whole athletics department at this school is a joke. If you high schooler is serious about athletics DO NOT COME TO PACT. Your child will not get the supportive environment they deserve. The only good sports are run by coaches who don't have kids on the team they are coaching. The Soccer teams are great because they are coached by coaches who actually are fair and do the right thing. The Speech and drama department is coached by amazing coaches so I would recommend them as well. If you child wants to be an athlete in any other sports, I would avoid this school. Nepotism is all around at this school.

This is my first year teaching as a kindergarten teacher at Midway Star Academy. I like teaching at this school because they really train their educators to prepare them to lead their classrooms. As an educator if I need support and resources the school leaders provides it right away. I really like working at Midway Star because its a community place where everyone is welcome. The school has special education department. The school also has family engagement night. The school provides different kinds of activities for families to enjoy with their children together.

As a parent of two sons attending The Steward School, I would like to share a bit about the nurturing environment and exceptional educational opportunities they receive. From the lower school to the middle school, Steward has truly become a second home for my children, where they not only thrive academically but also find joy and growth in their daily experiences. In the lower school, my son's enthusiasm for learning is palpable. He eagerly participates in extended day activities, cherishing the bonds he has formed with his peers and teachers. The sense of community and care that permeates the lower school environment is truly remarkable. It's heartwarming to see my son reluctant to leave at the end of our extended days, a testament to the genuine connections he has cultivated and the outstanding support he receives from the staff. Transitioning into middle school can often be daunting, but at Steward, it's an exciting journey of exploration and self-discovery. My other son has had the opportunity to explore a diverse range of programs, allowing him to uncover his talents and interests. He gets to choose his path, and even when I want to encourage a different opportunity for him, it is amazing to see him find his passions and his individuality. The school's commitment to providing a well-rounded education is evident in the breadth of offerings available and the care of the amazing middle school faculty and administration. As a result, my son's 6th-grade experience has been nothing short of wonderful, filled with opportunities for growth, challenge, and personal development. The sense of community at Steward is unparalleled. From collaborative projects in the classroom to school-wide events and initiatives, students are encouraged to support and uplift one another, fostering a culture of curiosity, inclusivity, and connection. I must disclose I also speak from personal experience, not only as a proud parent of two Spartans but also as a dedicated employee. Over my almost six years with the school, I've been consistently supported, appreciated, and motivated to develop my professional skills further, contributing meaningfully to our community. Working alongside engaging colleagues has made each day enjoyable, and I've found a healthy work-life balance that allows me to thrive. Being part of The Steward School has given me a unique perspective on what truly makes it the ideal choice for our family and, in my opinion, the top school in RVA!

The school has been a wonderful community for my children and family. The curriculum and the teachers are the appropriate balance of challenging, engaging, caring, and innovative. The academics and faculty are world-class and the program balances the educational and social-emotional development of my children. There's a reason why this is the top school in the Cincinnati area...the school is always striving to make this the best learning environment for children who are learning and growing in a such a rapidly changing world. The faculty and staff have their pulse and what a great education is and how to develop children from 18 months to 18 years academically and personally.

I am pretty upset with this 6th grade school . The teachers have zero monitoring compared to 5th grade house. No information about the assignments/tests due for the week is sent to the parent. I am a parent and the teachers in 5th grade house was wonderful. Before my kid came back from bus , I would have information about the different assignments/ test due for the day/week. In 6th grade house, even when we email home room teacher about the upcoming absence no email comes back acknowledging it or if we email about student being absent they say we have no Clue and need to contact the front desk. Not only that, I am being told by the student that the teachers ignore about cussing happening in the corridor by student(s) when teacher is nearby . I am totally unhappy with the teacher I got for 6th grade house and I wish the principal had more control over the staff.

My husband and I have both of our daughters enrolled in Rudolf Steiner and are truly grateful every day for having found a school home that nurtures, educates and grows our entire family. The teachers are some of the most well educated and inspiring faculty we've every encountered. They routinely help us understand each phase of our daughters' development - intellectually, academically, socially and emotionally - so that we can partner and work in tandem to support the classroom environment as much as they support our home environment. Our older daughter just entered the Upper School and her experience of athletics, academic rigor, technology skills, science, music and language arts are blowing us away. She is truly thriving - which after making our way through the pandemic - is a profound outcome. The community at this school is caring, compassionate and thoughtful. They manage to strike a beautiful balance between nature based, rooted early childhood education and progressive academic challenges that result in passionate learners, thinkers and world citizens. I highly recommend a school tour and sampling of the incredible farm to table food while chatting with parents and faulty.

This school is Chattanooga's hidden gem. The teachers feel like family, the students respect each other, and the education is top notch! The Christian learning environment is very much instilled yet all religions are welcomed. The school is very serious about safety measures and the overall well being of their children. Even the school lunch is phenomenal. There are also many recent upgrades to the facility itself. The students are offered a variety of fine arts that are rotated daily in addition to their regular curriculum. We love all of the fun events, fall festival, daddy/daughter dance, mother/son outing, grandparent's day and more! Of course no school is perfect so if we could add anything it would be something like a garden class. wood working class, home economics...just something extra but other than that it's the best private elementary school in Chattanooga!

I wouldn’t send my kids here if it were the last school on the planet. The administrators do nothing to support classrooms or students unless they’re one of the “bad kids”- then they get all the special treatment. Good teachers leave here too often. Teachers try their best but it seems to be a losing battle because of bad leadership.
