Not impressed, won't be returning.. Neither I or my children liked the experience we got here

JCA does not provide a college preparatory education. My daughter who graduated from JCA gave it a 2 out of 10 stars for how well it prepared her for college. She made straight As throughout high school but was never really challenged academically by the curriculum. Yes, my concerns were brought to the administration but were dismissed. If you are looking for an academically challenging college preparatory education, take your student somewhere else.

JCA is by far the best decision my family has ever made. The teachers are absolutely amazing as well as the faculty and students. There is plenty of discipline but fun and learning at the same time. The best part about this school is that not only are academics taught well but more importantly the spiritual atmosphere is amazing. If you want to grow to be a successful Christian JCA is the place to go! GO EAGLES!!

I am a student at JCA and absolutely could not he happier. I went to public school for 9 years and came to JCA my freshman year. It has been a huge blessing in my life and I absolutely love it! The teachers don't just teach you about the subject they are teaching, but they also help teach and guide you in your Christian walk. You have chapel every morning and you get to sing songs praising our amazing God on Fridays. It is a unique opportunity to attend a school where all the faculty care about you and let that be known. There have been days where I haven't had such a great day and many staff members have made it known that they were there if I needed them. They are always there to lend a helping hand to you when you need one and they truly are like family. If you play sports, many staff members come to support and are always cheering you on and never cease to stop encouraging you. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else and if you are looking for a great school, with a Christian atmosphere, I would highly recommend JCA!!

So thankful that we made the decision to move our daughter to JCA. We made this move from a very good public school but she wanted to be more involved with school activities which is really hard to do in a large public school setting. We have found the academics to be as challenging as the school we left. To those who have such negative things to say, please take your concerns directly to those you are anonymously bashing. It's easy to be negative and mean spirited when you have no name or face. I have found the administration and staff very helpful and genuinely care for the students. Is any entity faultless, whether it be a business, school or church? Why of course not! That people is called life. Thanks be to God for JCA and what they strive to stand for.........keep up the good work!

My child has been at JCA for three years. I have been so impressed with all of the faculty and staff at this school. Everyone is so sweet and helpful. The small classroom setting is perfect for him and it allows the teachers to be able to focus more on each individual child. Not only do they get a great education but your children are also surrounded by people who love the Lord and teach the word to them daily. You couldn't ask for a better school for your children!

My children have attended JCA for several years and we could not be happier. The teachers and administration care about the students and their well-being. The teachers strive to help the students succeed academically as well as spiritually and socially. We are thrilled with the new technology program that JCA offers and are pleased with the implementation thus far. We are also pleased with the dual enrollment program that JCA offers high school students to help them earn college credit. My family is blest to be able to send our children to a school that loves the Lord and our children!

I have a child in the Preschool and Elementary School. I must say that I am very pleasd with how much they are loved and taken care of everyday. My children are leaps and bounds ahead of other children I know that attend similar preschools and elementary schools. I feel that my children are being taught so much about the Bible and God's love. I am very pleased with the growth that's taken place over the last few years. I look forward to the years to come!

This is our first year at JCA and we could not be happier! I am so impressed with the teachers, the administration, and the staff! My children love their teachers and all of the friends they have made! We have played in the sports available and had so much fun seeing our kids enjoy being on a team and learning new skills! My children also love all their enrichment classes!

Most things are very unorganized and seemingly thrown together. Trust me, don't do it, if you have high standards for your child. Let's just say, "one and done", we will not re-enroll.

Good elementary school but a TERRIBLE middle and high school. Teachers play favorites, students are not disciplined, and students are also not prepared for college at all. The quality of education at JCA is very poor. I graduated from there and even though I was a good student and made straight A's, the work was way too easy, and if anyone ever got a bad grade it was because they were just being lazy (which goes back to the lack of discipline). I never had to study very much for tests, and I have suffered in college because of that. DO NOT send your child there for high school if you want them to be prepared for college. Just send them somewhere else, please.

Our 3 children started in the Early Learning Center of JCA since we needed care for them during the day while we worked. We had always assumed that they would go to public school as they matured. I am so happy that these many, many years later we stayed at JCA. Our children deserve better than the public schools can, unfortunately, give. The smaller classes, student camaraderie, the dedicated and caring faculty and staff are things you will not find just anywhere. Our children are in a safe, academically challenged, Christian environment with cutting edge technology with the Eaglei 1:1 iPad initiative and we could not be happier! JCA is dual accredited and will prepare our children for college and beyond.

JCA is not worth it. As a student who has been there for 4 years, this school is terrible. The Elementary school is okay, but the high school is a joke. There is one good teacher who prepares us for college, and one option for on-campus dual enrollment. Honors are only available in two classes. The teachers play favorites, and so do the coaches. Playing time in girls' sports is dependent almost entirely by the student's last name. One teacher constantly berates and insults students, calling them idiots, and telling them in front of everyone that they are stupid. If you want a Christian education, go somewhere else, because you will definitely not find it at JCA.

This school is a joke! The Pre- School & Elementary School are amazing, the teachers everything. The Middle School is getting better but the High School is a joke! I feel like in some areas it has not prepared me for college and only some classes are great, with great teachers and work. In all the other classes it's all about the teachers favorites. And if you're not their favorite you'll get in trouble or even get extra work! Also some of the students think they run the school. Misbehaving in class, picking a fight with follow students, and just acting awful to the teacher, and them doing nothing about it. All the High School is is a joke and i do NOT recommend your child going there if you're looking for a good High School cause you are not gonna find it at JCA!

My three children have attended JCA for four years and we could not be happier. The teachers do a great job and really care about the children. We are very excited about the new technology plan for the school and believe that it will help the school become even better. The most impressive thing about the school is the student body. We are thrilled with the relationships our children have formed with their peers. It is great to raise your children in a Christian enviroment. While JCA might not have the great facilities that some schools have, it is worth every penny we spend to have our children in a loving, Christian enviroment.

My wife and I are beyond happy with JCA and so thankful are children are such a wonderful school! We know they will have all the tools to succeed. Cannot wait for the iPad program to start and that our children will be a part of it!

We were so blessed to find this school! Our children started in the 2k and 3k classes and are now in 1st and 2nd grade with honors. They continually test at a level of almost 2 grades higher. We had tried other schools in the area and some down right scared us. We had no reservations when our daughter was born that she would go to the loving care of the ladies in the nursery. She is now 2 and a very happy well adjusted toddler. If safety, academics and a dedicated caring staff is important to you then JCA is the answer! We hope our children will be able to graduate from JCA as we know they will have all the tools necessary to go out in this big world of ours!

My child has been at JCA for two years. My child has grown academically as well as spiritually. I am very pleased with the Administration and teaching staff. The staff has always been kind and willing to help with whatever has been needed for my child. I highly recommend JCA to families that are looking for a solid Christian Education.

JCA leadership refuses to discipline bad kids. Middle and high school students are disrespectful. Science lab is used as a junk room. Students see cartoons in physics class and not given any tests. This is NOT a school to prepare your child for college.

We have 3 children at JCA. We have found it to be an excellent place for learning and developing our children not only in the classroom, but also in their Christian walk. The class sizes are very good and the preschool is just that, a preschool, not a daycare. The Leadership over the past few years has dramatically improved and the facilities are on their way as well. Overall JCA is an wonderful place and we hope to keep our kids there for years to come.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
