Overall I am not happy with this school. They don't have a gym so be prepared for your kids to tell you all about the movies they watched and forget any bonding time with friends during lunch...with your teacher sitting along side you and assigned boy/girl seating, oops no talking either...who has time?? School should be more than just a learning place but a time to make lifelong friends and happy memories. Respect is a two way street...if you want it you need to give it too and clearly the kids side of the street is shut down. Enthusiasm is not the opposite of discipline... which in my opinion this school could use more of.

Headland Elementary School is one of the finest schools around, public or private. The credit should go to Mrs. Shipes and her talented staff. These educators really do care about the children and it is reflected in the test scores. They do a great job preparing the students for the next level of learning. I have one child who attended H.E.S for 6 years and my youngest is in Kindergarten. I couldn't be more pleased with the results. It truly is a great place of learning. But, don't tell anyone. Let's keep it our little secret!

To my knowledge the only activities this year have been P.E. But they do offer Bible teaching, which I do not have a problem with, if all the other subject and needs are met. Sign me Dissapointed.

My son now attends Headland Elementary, the same school I went to. There are a few of the same teachers that were there when I was there, but for the most part it is a great school. My biggest problem with this school is how politics are played.

All three of my children have attended this school. We have had wonderful teachers, who are involved with their students. The whole staff at Headland Elementary really are concerned about our (their) children and their education. They go out of the way to help the children and their familes. Thank You, Mrs. Shipes, Mrs. German, Mrs. Feltman, Mrs. Granberry, Ms. Anderson, Mrs. Boutwell, Mrs. Wright, Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Arrington, Ms. Jill, Mrs. Singleton. You all have really made an impact on our children's life.

Kindergarten- fourth grade has been excellant. I have 2 kids who have fallen in love with their teachers every year. The teachers are wonderful about communicating with the parents. The principal is definitely in charge. She is great.
