Walker is a great school. I went there myself and my daughter will be attending there next year. The school is very family oriented and like another poster stated, all the families work very hard and it is just an overall GREAT community and one that I am proud to be a part of.

Walker Elementary is an excellent school. I have two children who attend there. The principal, Mrs. Johnson and the assistant principal, Mrs. Hamner do an outstanding job of promoting the right atmosphere for learning. My kids are given many opportunities to succeed. The teachers are great, as well. They do such a good job of making sure our kids are prepared for the next grade level. The school is full of kids whose parents work hard for the things they have. The parents in the community are heavily involved in everything that goes on in school. If I could choose a place to send my kids, Walker Elementary would be it.

I have 2 children who attend Walker & they love the school. They have both always had very great teachers. One of my children is in the Sp. Ed. program & Kris Garrison does a wonderful job to ensure that your child is learning to the best of his/her ability. And Mrs. Johnson really cares about her students. She listens to the parents & tries to do what is best for your child. My children have had 5 teachers total @ Walker, Mrs. Hamner, Mrs. Price, Mrs. Pate, Mrs. Connell & Mrs. Haas & every single one of them were outstanding teachers!
