good prep school- great academics- listed on the top 0 schools in the US by US News. good clas size- lots of personal attention by caring teachers. almost everyone goes on to college from here and gets in to good schools, especially Ivy League universities. 100 % of students who enroll graduate.

Highly impressed with ALL aspects of this school. My child attended her first year (7th grade) this past year and is already planning on attending high school at NPA. She loves it; we love it. If you want your child to be challenged in academics, accountability and responsibility, then this is the place for him or her.

Highest qualtiy academics. Both of my children are academically gifted, at different levels, and have been challenged during their 2 years here. The wide range of academic levels can reach most kids. The music program (band and strings) is outstanding. It is all concert, there is no marching band. The sports include all the majors except football. High school sports require a lot of travel (up to 4 hours one way)as there are no other 1A schools in Flagstaff. Types of clubs depend on student interest and adult advisor availability. Community service is promoted. About 25% of parents are regularly, highly involved, but over 95% contribute time, talent and money when asked. We have run into a 'clique' mentality among some parents, staff and teachers but overall, the students are sincerely welcoming, friendly and supportive of each other.

NPA has outstanding teachers and administrators who have created a school environment that both challenges and nutures students. Students at NPA consistently achieve the highest scores on the Stanford 9 tests in the City of Flagstaff. Parents of NPA students are a diverse and talented group, actively engaged in their childrens' education, who contribute their time and talents generously to the school. Parent participation on the governing board and in the PTO is encouraged.
