While bullying is a hot topic, it is helpful to remember not every transgression is actually bullying. In my experience, the school addresses issues as they arise, seeking to help all the students involved and not jump to hot topic labels.
Year after year, we are so happy with this school. From the great leadership, to the helpful support staff to the amazing teachers, we would recommend this school! Things happen in all schools, the difference is in how things are resolved. This school is very child focused, what is best for the students.
would steer very clear of this school until the principal has more training on how to deal with bullying with both parents and children. A principals job is to steer the ship. Well, her first year on the job as a principal; the ship sunk! "Watching" bullying and parents cliques happen is disgusting. Allowing it to happen is even more disgusting. Kids are being bullied and very little to nothing is being done about it. The PTO is full of bullies this year. Moral with the school has gone done. Donations by parents have decreased immensely. You can feel the bad vibe all around the school and parents have withdrawn from helping/volunteering to avoid it. Having the principal tell a parent one thing, and then come to find out she told 2 other parents something completely different about the same topic says a lot about who she is. Being "neutral" doesn't work for a principal. Don't be afraid to be sued. Stick up for what you believe in, and what's right. My daughter was removed from this school and transferred to another school and is doing 100% better.
Ha! A bully might get a slap on the hand. The parent might get a slap on the hand. But this is the worst I have ever seen bullying is in this school. Both with parents being bully's and in children. It's pretty disgusting to be around this school and have to watch this.
