i am a parent, and i am very disappointed in the way the school administration and some teachers handle "bullying" we (parents) get a briefing on what the school does to prevent or handle bullying on campus, well here is the problem, my son has been a victim of bullying and we have made several attempts to contact the principal and vice principal and all we get is voice mails, and no response back, it is a shame that even teachers (some) do not do anything about it and even when it is happening infront of their faces. what a shame....
I am a junior at Millennium, and it has gone downhill every year since I've been here. I joined the IB program to hopefully get a leg up on my education and even that is going downhill. The teachers are horrible, the school is horrible. The good teachers are quitting and the overcrowding in unbelievable. If I could switch schools, I would. Don't come to this school- it would be a horrible mistake.
I am a sophmore at Millennium, and I am so glad I didn't get sent to Xavier or another private school. The teachers are fantastic, and they go beyond teaching; they actually care about you. The students are respectful, and all the sports and clubs available are fantastic! Millennium is exactly where I want to be. GO TIGERS!
Loved it last year. Not so much this year. Funding cuts, overcrowded classrooms, discouraged teachers, lack of leadership. This will be our last year at MHS. Transferring out at the end of the year and not recommending the school to friends.
I love this school. Great support from the counselors and the teachers are there to help you excell. Go Tigers!!!
wasn't what i expected. I transfered from a high school in new york last year with high expectations. The people are okay and the classes arent so bad but its just not for me. So after looking around at each school near me, i finally decided last year to switch to Agua Fria. I sure am glad to be here. The surroundings may not be that appealing but you sure cant judge a book by its cover.
I am a sophmore at Millennium High School and I'm loving every second of if not only do i love the small, yet fun things they do, but i like the options they have for extra carricular activities and I really liked street law...Mr.Cruz is the teacher for that class...I want to become a police officer some day and i think that class helped me a lot in my understanding of what being a police officer is all about.....i love my other classed too but im focusing on beign a police officer and i hope after my senior year that i get accepted into Grand Canyon University...the have a great program there for aspiring police officers....I love Millennium!
I am a senior at Millennium High School and I have been there since I was a Freshman. I was apart of the sophomore class that had amazing test scores that labeled Millennium as, Excelling. There are wonderful teachers that provides a tough curriculum. Some of the freshman's parents moved just so their kids could attend Millennium. The principal Dr. Runyan is very nice and easy for students like myself to talk to. However as nice as he is he often becomes a pushover. The assistant principal Ms. Landis is tough and to the point, she doen't take anyones, crap, so to speak. I am very excited but at the same time sad that is is my last year at Millennium; I will forever remember this school as the school that helped me get to were I want to be in life as I got excepted into the Cordon Blu Institute.
I attend Millennium, I'm a sophomore and I mean it's and excelling school but the environment and people are just average like every other h.s.
Millennium is a great school. It started as Agua Fria North in 1979 as a freshman-only campus sending the freshmen to Agua Fria High School (their well noted rival). Then in 1999 it became a high school starting at the bottom of the ladder. In ten short years it rose to become probably the best school in the West Valley, making it's name well known across the state and bringing much pride to Goodyear with many trophies from sports and activities. There are MANY after school activities after school ranging from football to art to marching band. Speaking of activities its football teams are rising as the best in the West Valley and may rank with Centennial or Peoria. The school has also risen in acedemics bringing more fame with an excelling school rating. And coming in 2009 there will be an IB program coming to the school, allowing more opportunities.
