I think the teachers push too much information into students in a little bit of time. What I like about the school is that you have a minimum of 3 classes to concentrate on. I think the school can improve on having after school buses for students who plan on staying after school for programs, extra help, sports, etc.

The Teachers here at Peoria Accelerated High School cares about the student's individual success and their ongoing education long after each student's graduation. I would love to recognize Marcus Englund for going the extra 100 miles to ensure the success of these students. Although most will listen and succeed, the few students who struggles in their education will always have the great instruction given by the outstanding Teachers here at Peoria Accelerated High School. I was lost when I came to PA and didn't have any direction, but the staff and teachers helped me discover what I wanted to do and push me to graduate. The principle Mr Englund always would help me and give me good advice and Teresa in the office was always making sure I did everything I needed to do to be successful. I don't think I could have done it with out there help.

Small school with a great atmosphere! Teachers are willing to work with studnets one on one. My son loves the option for afternoon classes. I love that the students are monitored by the administrators. Also, the office staff are very nice and get their job done with a smile.

This is the worst school I ever been to, some of the teacher don't do well in teaching students, And some of the office staff are very rude! All you are is waisting your time with that this school !

As a former student I found this school to be very very good. And the best part is there was no pressure while attending this school, and even though I had a few issues with my last high school, they accepted me! Great teachers, great staff, and plenty of programs and options. I graduated in 2005, and I now attend Collins College for a degree in Game Design. Thank you PAHS so much! -Doyle Stogner

We haven't been here long. My son just started school this week (1 month late) and he loves this school so far. When a parent normally visits a school all the smiles and fake personalities show. But, not here!! My son said that they are 'really that cool'. Staff and students have been very warm and helpful to him. Very glad that we chose this area!!

So Far, I am pleased with what they offer. Our kids needed this type of school. It allows them to catch up (over a year behind & can still graduate with origional class) on the missed credits that are required for graduation, in a shorter amount of time and with a choice of day or afternoon/evening class schedules. I can also go online and keep up with current attendance and grades in each class. Virtually no homework, it's all done in class so no backpacks of books. Kids are doing well there. Emailed questions to staff were answered in a reasonable time. Kids tested and accepted/enrolled on the same day. If the student misses a day, they can make it up on the following friday. There should be more schools like this in Arizona.

Teachers at the school are very good but the administration treats students as commodities and not children.

As being a fomer student here, I found it to be a fun and educated campus. All the staff members, both teachers and office workers, get involed with the school activites. I would tell every one that they need to come here for their education!

Profile Completeness

Want to improve this school's profile?

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.
