Staff is rude and can't seem to work with me. They are not teaching her enough and setting her back in some ways.I have seen children walking alone in lines...where are their teachers? no extreme hair fashions?does this mean no mohawks? I don't believe it's any of their business. They have said my child needs to stand in a public hallway and wait for her teacher. She is standing there unattended!!! Shes only 5.The teacher wont release my child until she sees my face.....why should i release my child without seeing her face???

This was my daughters second year at this school and I held on just for her this whole school year. In my opinion the staff is not that caring and some rude. Academics did not seem to be highly regarded here or did the children's attire or language.I do not feel parents were welcome anytime at school and I personally only had one parent teacher conference this year.Last year was a different story because of just one teacher but the staff still was not very welcoming.Very displeased with this school!

Lake Valley has an Awesome Staff that cares about their students..!!!

Posted November 9, 2009

My son has only attended Lake Valley for a short period of time. But durning that time he has received excellent accomidations to his IEP. He started the year off at was said to be the best school in the area, but they couldn't even accomidate his IEP. I felt as if they winged him out because of his learning disability at (LTS). But Mr. Brown the principal and the resource staff have done a great job at helping him to reach the gaols of his IEP.

This school has done a tremendous job of educating our children, especially in the area of special education. They focus on differentiating instruction and the individual student. The staff is very caring also.

The quality of regular academics seems sufficient, however our experience with special education left a lot to be desired. Our child's teacher stated that her class 'is horrendous' and she 'doesn't have time' to teach special education students. We are very unhappy with the level of services our special education student received at this school.

My Children have been going to L.V.E.S for going on 3 years now and I have had nothing bad to say about any teacher. I enjoy all the teachers my children have had each year. They have exceeded my expectations of an excellent teacher in every way and them some. Thank you

this school is very good with caring for their students. The teachers here have good expirience and have been there for a while. They encourage their students to strive to the fullest.

About the tests

In 2011-2012 Arizona used the Arizona Instrument to Measure Standards (AIMS) to test students in reading and mathematics in grades 3 through 8 and 10, writing in grades 5, 6, 7, and 10, and in science in grades 4, 8 and 10. AIMS is a standards-based test, which means that it measures how well students have mastered Arizona learning standards. Students must pass the grade 10 AIMS in order to graduate. The goal is for all students to meet or exceed state standards on the test.
