The teachers don't care about the students at all. Kids act like animals, disrespect the teachers, and somehow never get expelled or suspended for their actions. It is not a school environment here, more like a trashy daycare. They have poor ways of handling the behavior, by simply sending out a mis-behaving child out into another class room. This does not only disturb one class room, but the other. The front office people are especially rude, and will take their time with each and every tiny thing that they do, to assure that you are late for class. The problem at this school is the crazy children, that need a much better discipline routine. Horrible school. I dreaded every single day of going there. Do not send your kids here.
i like the teachers and education given here. most of the teachers are really nice, i do have to say im not a fan of the 7th grade language arts team, the teachers talk to students with no respect, and act like there dumb, there also snobby and stuck up. but besides that i felt that it was a very great school, the principal is very involved with making the students day fun, and taking into consideration any of complaints that students may have.
The school is under new administration this year and it has come a long, long way. The students are receiving far better discipline and education that in years past.
We are a small district and doing a great job. Our kids are safe and happy at school!
This school is the worst school ive ever put my daughter in I feel like the education they give is poor and there for the students dont give their best effort!
I think it is a great school. Teachers are good with the students.
I feel, as many other parents out there do, that the school is lacking in discipline. My daughter tells me of fights on campus regularly and about unruly students in general. My interaction with administration concerning some issues has not been to my satisfaction. I have already enrolled my daughter in a different school for next year. I understand that the district is growing, however I will not let it be at my daughter's educational expense!
I like the school compared to the Public Schools in California which I would never put my kids in. What I don't like is the teachers will let kids slide through because they don't want the bother. No contact with the parents. Sad....
Okay. So I'm in the 8th grade. I recently moved here. and now my mother is going to drive me 30 min everyday just so I can go to a better school. DO NOT let your kids go here. It is a complete waist of time if you want an education.
The discipline policy at this school is useless. My daughter tells me that rotten kids hardly get into any real trouble at the school. Kids that want to be rowdy get away with it and referrals to the dean are harmless. One kid flipped off a teacher, it took almost a whole week before the kid was suspended for only one day. When I was a kid, you could get tossed out of school for something like that! So, if your kid is prone to getting into trouble and you are the kind of parent that does nothing about your child's bad behavior but blame teachers and administrators, J.O. Combs is the right place for you. Parents with bright kids that will do what they are supposed to will be frustrated with classes that get interrupted by rotten kids who don't care and administrators that the kids don't fear.
