Copper Canyon has been a god-send for our daughter. At Copper Canyon, she learned about her mental condition, how to cope with it, what medications would make all the difference. Then the really terrific stuff happened, where she emerged as her true self, confident, fun, thoughtful and grounded. I feel that my daughter was truly saved and would not be here today without Copper Canyon, and this is not an overstatement. I strongly recommend this school to anyone looking for a total solution where their daughter can learn about herself and heal.
Copper Canyon Academy has changed my families life in a positive way forever. We are grateful for what the staff did for our family and our daughter. Our daughter would not be alive today if it wern't for making the hardest decision we have ever made as a parent and sent our daughter to CCA. The therapy offered at CCA is fantastic. The entire gets involved. Individual, group and family. I would definitely recommend this program to others looking for help and support with a struggling teenage daughter. Our daughter has a new and healthy perspective of what matters most in her life. Thank You CCA. Submitted by a parent

CCA is a therapeutic boarding school for girts with emotional issues, age 14 to 18. It offers both high school academic education and a fabulous therapeutic program to promote wellness. My daughter entered CCA in February, 2011 at age 17 and completed the requirements for high school, graduating in July. The teachers and their classes are excellent. The school even has a program to prepare students for the SAT examinations, with these exams taken on campus. The academic side of CCA prepares well the students for entering college. It's the therapeutic program at CCA, however, that distingishes this school. My daughter has dealt well with her emptional issues and will graduate for the therapeutic program on December 19, 2011. This program cannot be praised too much. It has helped my daughter move from darkness into light. The program also involves working with parents. I too have experienced emotional growth, and am now better prepared to help my daughter. CCA is just about as ideal an institution of education for both academics and treatment as it gets. I recommend CCA most highly without qualification.
This school is amazing! All my children attended or are attending the school and it has great teachers that truely care about their students and their educations.
The school curriculum is a total joke. They didn't know what to do with me because I had so many credits. To make up for the fact they advise that 'you focus on therapy.' I was sent without any form of alcohol or drug addiction, but for 'family discord'. Understandably there were several girls there that this was a life saving move, but I firmly believe there are better alternatives. Please consider a wilderness program, such as Anasazi, and conduct a search for the appropriate school. The Oakley School, also run by Aspen, was strongly recommended by my theraist who openly admitted I was not in the right school. All these schools are buisness venues, keep that in mind when they are praising their school. Additonally, tours are conducted by girls close to leaving and would be dropped for stating their opinions. Keep an open mind and don't make decisionsin haste.
