Sanders Elementary School has extra sports activities for the students 3-5, reading and math intervention for K-5, a guided reading program, math, computer programs Kid Biz, Study Island, and tutoring programs. We implented the Character counts program.

Excellent programs -- not always implemented completely or correctly. Music, art, PE, computers and life skills available. Parent Involvement generally decreases with students age. Moving forward, making progress. Teachers genuinely care about students. Leadership is developing and improving.

Sanders has the advantage of a principal who combines the talents of an administrator with those of a psychologist. The school runs well by virtue of the talents of a dedicated and professional staff.

Sanders Elementary School needs to make more extracurricular activities and afterschool activities available to all students, especially in the music and performing arts areas. We have children who have potential talent that are not given the chance to develop that talent without driving quite a distance.

I am not satisfied with the leadership at this school and there has to be more good pricipals that are energetic towards higher learning then discipline. I feel that the State has not done its job to review some teaching quality at the local rural school districts on the Indian reservations.
