Taylor elementary is an excellent school. I have subbed for them quite a bit. There is a real feeling of concern for each student. Teachers and staff care about each other and about the children they teach. There is a positive attitude at this school. The principal is very easy to work with and sincerely cares about his school and the children who attend. Their test scores are good, too!

This school has a variety of good academic programs. For instance, the district's gifted program is served from this campus. TE has a pre-school program for youngsters ages 3-4; a pre-k program for children who are four years of age; a district special needs program for kids who need those services, a certified reading specialist who complements the efforts of classroom teachers, and a resource program supporting children who need extra assistance. This school has an organized and functioning PTO. The principal is a good sport who allows his hair to be dyed blue every year when the children reach the one million minute reading mark.
