The street we live on is not school parking that's why they made a school parking lot & have school buses & posted metal signs printed by the city our tax dollars paid to have put up. It was explained to me by one parent we don't want to wait in line that's why we park on your road. Since my last review we had the police here handing out tickets and they were hefty too thank you to the officers for coming and enforcing the parking policy posted on our street for two weeks and to the principal the parents tend to ignore since she told us she has given people repeated warnings. We will call you again next year to so you can hand out more tickets to these inconsiderate parents that can't read signs or feel they are better than everyone else and don't have to follow rules, you are all a bunch of great roles models to your children A+. To all of you who do take your children to school and don't drop them off in front of our house thank you! I have nothing against the school or the principal since she has been more than cooperative unlike the parents. I have rights, we also have street signs and if you saw the way some people leave there vehicles parked or lived here you might wake up!
Our daughter has gone to Kindergarden and 1st grade @ Butterfield so far and as long as we live in the neighborhood she will continue to go there. Over all I think this is a very good school and has an excellent ciriculam. I do like the sense of community and pride in our country that is promoted @ school. As far as the last review of Butterfield that was posted on 9-15-2011 goes I'm not sure what their problem is with the school? If signs are posted and people park and turn around in front of their house...what's the school supposed to do about it, it's got nothing to do with school enforcement! Also, how long have you lived in your "quiet neighborhood"? Can't be that long since Butterfield has been there pretty much since they built the neighborhood.
As a parent of 6 former Butterfield students, I strongly disagree with the previous posting. My children received an excellent education, and we all loved and valued the teachers and staff. The principal values children and education and her genuine love for the kids shines through all she does. Each time I walk in the office I am greeted with a welcoming smile and a friendly hello. I have 35 years of experience with Butterfield, and wouldn't change a thing about it.
I have 2 children going here and I have been very disapointed with the majority of the staff. They are rude to the kids and most the teachers seem really burnt out. The academics are poor as well. There is a big since of community I will say that but not so good when you have new kids for the 'community 'of kids is well established and not very excepting of new kids. I will not be sending my kids next year and do not recommend it!
My family has been to this school for 12 years and counting. Everyone is very helpful--were all a family, everyone is very respectful.
My daughter just finished kindergarten there. I am impressed with the teachers and staff. The school seems to have high academic and behavior standards, and at the same time it promotes a stong sense of community among the students, staff and parents. Parental involvement is encouraged and many parents do help out. Several fun events are planned each year. Kindergarten was a big transition for my daughter, but so far, so good! We're looking forward to the next school year.
best school to grow up in!!!
this school is one of the best school you could go to i have been going to butterfield sense kindergarden when i first went there i know no english now I'm in GEM( gifted education of marana)
We needed tremendous assistance to succeed in this transition in our life. Once again, Butterfield came through with flying colors. I would recommend this school above all others that we have been a part of.
Great administration, great teachers, overall terrific school atmosphere and education
