We have had 3children graduate from Dodge and we now have a fourth. Our children have graded very well and their confidence has been great. The teachers show their desire for the students to progress. The Principals are involved with Teachers,Students and Parents. I am impressed at the Parent involvemnt in the children and their growth.

All three of our children attended Dodge and we are so impressed with the high quality education provided by this school. The principal is friendly and approachable and the entire staff makes us feel welcome whenever we attend school fuctions. The teachers are the best and go out of their way to ensure that students learn the material covered. They have an outstanding band program and there are many sports and club options for students. This is an outstanding magnet school!

Dodge is the perfect size for a middle school, around 400 students. The back to basic curriculum helps all students close the gap between their previous preparation and their actual grade level in all core subjects. The dedicated staff works very hard to provide the best middle school education in Tucson.

Dodge is an excellent school. It is small, and as a result the principal knows all of the kids personally. The is an environment of respect between the teachers and students, and when touring the school, you'll see the students are consistently on task. A lot of learning goes on, but they don't have the kind of problems with drugs, gangs or violence that the other middle schools have. There is a reason this is the single most requested school in all of TUSD!

I love this school. The atmosphere here is just right... they are strict with the kids and don't put up with any acting out. But it's a very nurturing feeling and the teachers treat the children with real respect. And my son is learning so much in Dodge! They are very strong academically, but they also make sure the kids have an opportunity to do extra curricular activities such as band, soccer, track, orchestra, volleyball, service organization and basketball. This school is hard to get into. It's a random lottery, but so many TUSD parents want their children to attend this school, so there is a long waiting list. But it is a great school!

This is the best school I have ever been to. I am a 7th Grader, and this is great. This is truly a school of academic excellence. EVEN MY SPELLING IN THIS REVIEW IS CORRECT! I am Daniel McClelland, the would-be 3rd place winner of the Pima County Spelling Bee! The teachers here are very nice, the principal is very nice, and it is so good, that there is no general G.A.T.E. class required! Instead, there is 7th Grade Math Accelerated, and there is G.A.T.E. Language Arts, which is only 5th period. There have been maybe only one incident in the school, although I do not know for sure, because this is only my 2nd year a Dodge.

The school is great. My child is learning to and above his potential. Teachers are very creative. Have only had 1 problem. This issue has been address to the Principal, not sure if anything has been resolved. I would recommend this school to everyone. I am so glad that I decided to place my child here when they he was selected. The parent involvement is very high. They have a great music department. The band is the greatest I have ever seen in a middle school. They seem to prepare the children for higher level of education. The dress code could be enforced more. If you are going to have a dress code it need to be enforced consistantly.

We have found Dodge Middle to school to have the highest standards for student academic performance. Our son is constantly challenged and opportunities abound for him to work to his potential. The teachers are creative and his homework and classroom activities are very effective and valuable. There are a great variety of fine art opportunities as well as sports for the students. There are 2 levels of orchestra and 3 levels of band, and the music director, Julia White, is one of the finest in Tucson. Sports programs abound, and any student with desire can find and outlet for their ability. Parent involvement is great at Dodge, and the success of the students is a great indicator of the benefits of this. Because of the magnet school status, only students who have gone through an application process are able to attend Dodge, which weeds out unmotivated students and parents.

The academic programs are very good for the most part and art music and sports are very accessible. The level of parent involvement is very low and the Parent Advisory Committee is not very interested in having more parent input.
