Yesterday I graduated from high school and I attended Bonita for my middle school years(Don't be fooled by its name--Bonita runs through 8th grade and it's in the process of adding more school years!). I came to the states from a foreign country and,to be honest, I wouldn't have made it through high school without the people at Bonita. My teachers were caring and felt like parents away from home and keep in touch with me till this day. The staff in general looks out for the students and is always caring. The academics are great, all grades have a core curriculum and although there aren't a lot of classes to choose from(Rural school!) what was given in the curriculum was great, and the classes were extremely small, which made it easy to focus in the work. Academics are great too and it feels like a tight-knit community at Bonita. I loved BES.

About the tests

In 2011-2012 Arizona used the Arizona Instrument to Measure Standards (AIMS) to test students in reading and mathematics in grades 3 through 8 and 10, writing in grades 5, 6, 7, and 10, and in science in grades 4, 8 and 10. AIMS is a standards-based test, which means that it measures how well students have mastered Arizona learning standards. Students must pass the grade 10 AIMS in order to graduate. The goal is for all students to meet or exceed state standards on the test.
