You've got to be kidding! this is the worst school my kids have ever attended. Being in the military we have been to several schools across the country and this is by far the worst. Parental involvement is non existent. It is not encourage or wanted. They have there own little click and that is all they want involved. It is a 'good ole boy" system and nothing more. Teachers do not communicate with parents much less the students. They make up their rules as they go. This school is basically a place for graduates to go back to and hang out at. Do not send your kids here!
I was actually a student here and I was impressed with the quality of education provided. The focus was more on the students interest in the curriculum than on doing their jobs. The teachers genuinely care about their students and take time to understand and encourage them in what they do or wish to achieve. The students didn't just attend the schools the parents did as well. From sports to pep rallies the teachers and the parents walk hand in hand to give their children a better education than that you find at most private schools. There is always an extracurricular activity for each individual student to be ivolved in. I look forward to sending my child to this school.
Great small rural school. I picked this school over a much larger school because the student to teacher ratio is lower at South Side. The standardized test scores are fantastic which tells me that this school is doing its job. There is still something to be said about a school where people all know each other and are a community. Just because a school is small doesn't mean that it is ineffective. Kudos to South Side!!
