This is a review of the berryville band program only......my child graduated back in 2008, and was very blessed to have such incredible band directors (Julius Stevens and Daniel Hodge). They both went above and beyond the call of duty and the high school band was one of the best in the state, for maybe the exception of Lake Hamilton.I have several dislikes about other areas of the school, but the band is in a league of their own!!!!!!!!!!

Berryville has the worst administration you can ever imagine...the supt. is paid $120,000 per year and is a total failure. Our HS principal has been fired or run off from other jobs....our school morale is very low, our students aren't learning, we are on the academic distress list, we spend millions on athletics but still don't win....we have won 7 football games in the past 3 years. Administration harasses teachers, students, parents, and anyone who chooses to disagree with them on anything...it is a very bad school with a negative atmosphere and kids deserve more...especially if you love your child.....

The test says it all, reading in the 40%'s The last I knew 40's was a failing grade. So teachers and principle should get a failing grade. Look at a school as a business. Principle being the CEO. Teachers being management. Student being the product. 100 students are produced only 40% are producted according to specs. Not good, in business someone or maybe everyone should be fired.

I have attended Berryville for about four years now and it is an excellent school. The teachers are great, the staff is great, the people are amazing. I have attended five schools in my life and Berryville is by far my favorite.

The Berryville Alternative School was a great experience for my daughter. The Director(Mr. Goodman) and teachers went out of their way to make my daughter feel welcomed. Great place!

My son has been attending BHS for about 6 months. I have found it hard to get information from his teachers and the school does not send home notices about anything, so if you don't have access to the internet you are missing out on the school news. Things are done so differently here than where he previously attended school and that causes some frustration. I am not highly impressed by the Berryville schools; however, it is not the worst school system that I've dealt with.
