Fabulous school that focuses on truly teaching children how to be respected, confident, intelligent people. Teachers and staff are all very open, welcoming and willing to work with a parent to make sure school is a great experience for the child and parent.
We love Williams and feel very fortunate to be able to provide such a quality education for our children at a public school. We live in the Pulaski County School District but work downtown and love having our children nearby so we can have lunch with them and attend school events during the day. Williams has always been great for academics, and this year there are more fun, innovative programs that make it even better. Parents are very involved, and we have a whole new Williams family of kids and parents. New leadership has made a big difference.
Every school has their problems, but I was always able to discuss any problems openly with the teachers and administration. My moved my son in the 4th grade, but we came back in the 5th. Williams school is a great school and Mrs. Register is making it better. We love you.
This is our 4th year at Williams. It is a school environment that reminds me some of my grade school. Our teachers have been very proactive, helpful, and supportive in identifying learning challenges for my student. The staff is energized by a new principal (and some new staff members), great use of technology, and a positive learning environment. My child looks forward to going to school.
I have three kids at William's Magnet. We love the school. The students are very well behaved and continue to score high on standardized tests. The teaching staff is phenomenal and there is a lot of parental involvement. The new principal has made positive changes that are sure to help the school continue to be one of academic excellence. We wish our kids could stay here through the 12th grade!
We are in our sixth and final year as part of the Williams family. This year, we welcomed a new Principal with a fresh vision for the school. I believe she will continue our schools vision of academic excellence for all students but in a more positive atmosphere. If you read older reviews or see a lower score on Principal Leadership on older Parent Reviews, please take this into consideration. All of the teachers we have had at Williams have been outstanding. My children's scores on the national benchmark have been extremely high and I feel like they have received a top-notch education at Williams.
We are just thrilled about William's Magnet! My child is in Kindergarten and is thriving and learning so much! She has also developed so much socially in this short time of being there. The teaching staff seems to be surperb and we are just blessed to be there. I understand that no school is perfect, but, Williams is one of the best in the city!!!
I think it is the best school in the world! All the students are very well behaved and have challenging activities which will build their self confidence for the future.
its disciplined and the teachers are doing a great job!
I am very disappointed on choosing to send my child to Williams. Like someone said in another review, I feel that if your child is in anyway, somewhat active or doesn't sit completed quiet and still at all times unless they are on the playground this is certainly not the school for you. I decided on Williams based on academics, but I feel that children are not given a chance to make the transition . I have a child in kindergarten there. The leadership is also lacking in this school. Children are not always perfect, but at Williams they need to realize that sometime leadership isn't either ( and that's on all levels at this school). Williams need to learn how to help a child where they are. I have failed my child in given him a start here and look forward to a brand new beginning.
