After graduating from Valley Springs (I attended from first grade through twelfth), I attended North Arkansas College (less than ten miles from Valley Springs), where I completed forty-five hours of general education requirements prior to transferring and graduating from the University of Arkansas. I have also completed a Master s degree and several hours toward a doctorate. I have lived in New Jersey, Missouri, Arizona and worked in many other states. My parents do not have a college education, nor do my grandparents. The teachers/ instruction I earned from Valley Springs prepared me for my post secondary level education. The friendships and involvement in basketball, agriculture, art, and other extra curricular activities prepared me for a life. I resigned from a good career, with better pay, to move back to the area so that my child can go to Valley Springs.

Valley Springs is a great school. I graduated in 2004 from VSH, and loved 95% of my time there. The only problem is, because the area is so small, there are too many 'favorites', or 'teachers pet' roles played. Other than that, the education is great. Thank you to all the teachers and administration for the excellence you provide!!

As a recent graduate of Valley Springs, I truly believe that I received the best education a student could receive in Arkansas. I attended from second grade to graduation, each year consisting of teachers that pushed education in a way I can only look back now and thank them for. Those same teachers went from pushing me in education to encouraging me as a person. Today I live a successful life in Little Rock, AR where I give great credit to my educators. Today they are still my biggest role models and I would strongly encourage any parent to give their child the same opportunity that I had.

Valley Springs is the best school in the State of Arkansas if you ask me. The teachers actually care about the children. They pay attention to them and do everything in their power to help them understand. Yes, they do expect a lot from the kids, but in return they recieve respect. Valley Springs expects excellence and by the time the students have graduated, they realize that excellence is something that they have achieved.

Valley Springs High School takes learning to a higher level. Each teacher works to see that every child learns and has the tools needed to succed in life. There you are more than just a name called out for role, you are a friend, equal, and someone who should be tought with everything a teacher can offer you. There, you are part of a family.
