The school has a great reputation, but is unfortunately dominated by opinions and actions of parents who feel there sole purpose in life is to be on the campus 24/7. And the inmates are running the asylum. Certain parents feel they "own" the school, are more important than other parents, and walk in and out of classrooms at whim to talk to teachers. It's very disruptive to classrooms. There are way too many activities and fund-raisers for the number of kids, that the school has entirely forgotten that its sole purpose is to raise and educate its kids. Bullying in the form of exclusion and cliquey-ness is rampant and encouraged by both parents and kids. If your not in, your out. If you are "out" there are a few mis-fit groups that may include you. Same goes for sports teams. There are better choices for your kids further down 680. Alamo is NOT a nice school.

Alamo Elementary School is known by parents as the best school in the district. My children have been attending school at Alamo since 2010, the year the current principal started, and our experience has been fantastic. Teachers are caring and have a lot of experience. Parents are extremely dedicated. Since my children started, neither has had any experience with bullying and have great, fun friends. We love the music programs and feel lucky to call this school 'home.'

Teacher accountability and ability is outstanding. The school community is amazing. The principal is involved in everything from car pool pick up to recess activities and is well liked by students and parents alike.

Both my children attended elementary school at Alamo, it was the greatest experience for them and for me.

By far the best school my kids attended in the SRVUSD. Principal and teachers run the school, not a select group of parents (which is so prevalent in this valley). Kids are all treated equally here and it's all about learning and schoolwork.
