The elementary school could be improved. From what I have observed, the teachers care and are doing what they know best. However, I have not been impressed with overall handling of discipline, classroom time, and montinoring student progress. This is especially true at the kindergarten level. Without many other options in our area, it makes it difficult to stand back and let just anything happen to our children, so we are hoping we can make suggestions that will be implemented or taken seriously.
The classroom numbers are way too high!!! It should not be accepted. To say that it is due to budget cuts is unacceptable because other schools in the state do not have these numbers. It must be how the district is allocating its money:( Change needs to happen. Parents should not be OK with this and think this is just how it is.
I really liked the last Principal as well. Let's see if the Community can keep this next new Principal.
I love Hamilton because it is a small rural school. My child is known to all by name and is not just another face. Hamilton is a caring supportive school and is always striving to improve its students education. The students achievments are always being acknowledge regardless of what that might be.
I am very pleased with what I see with the new Principal.
I went to this school as a kid and I am very proud to send my three children to this school. I love how all the teachers are very involved and care for thier students.Go Hamilton Bobcats
hi im 15 and my first names Elias... i absolutly loved this school and i know if i tried harder it would help me suceed in any goal i set out for. i used to be a student at the elemtary and for the 8 years i spent there it was wonderfull. my teachers made the extra effort to make sure i was at the top of my game. and helped me and explained things so that i could understand..they found ways to explain problems so that even those with dificulties could get an A. all in all my favorite school would have to be hamilton elementary...i had a few really good friends and i miss them terrably. the teachers did their best 24/7, and i thank them for helping me with my ability to ignore teachers..lol...now i listen and i make the effort to suceed! go bobcats go! *wistles*
This should be a great school, but the administration has destroyed staff morale; last year 25% of the teaching staff quit. There are some outstanding teachers at this school, but most are making plans to get out. Too bad. The students deserve better.
Unfortunately, there is not much offered for the children. There are a handful of good teachers, a few really great teachers, and many that need to be weeded out. Anza is a very rural area, and parents newer to the community are far more involved than others. Most parents are uninvolved in the school, and sadly, with their children. This is reflected in the conduct on the playground and academic performance of those children as well as the children that they have a negative impact on. There have been improvements in the last couple of years, but a long way to go.
