Barbara & Dorthy in the office are wonderful. All the teachers go above and beyond. My kids have thrived at this school.
Mar Vista just became recognized as a 'California Distinguished School' this year. The level of parent involvement and dedication is exceptional, the leadership is spirited, and the diversity of the student body makes it an interesting and fun learning environment.
The parent involvement is above and beyond, everyone contributes and care's. The whole school works together to find resolutions for everything.
cheery and friendly staff and total atmosphere...my grand son is happy there which means everything .....Patty
Beautiful environment, amazing teachers and administrator. Lot of parent involvement.
Great learning environment and the most dedicated leadership I have seen in decades.
Mar Vista is a warm, magical place where our children enjoy a rich learning environment with dedicated, amazing teachers and a wonderful group of children. It is a perfect size for our children to grow and flourish. It is the kind of neighborhood school where everyone knows your child and you feel your apart of a great community. It is the sweet school we all grew up with. We are a lucky community to have such hidden treasure of a school behind our little firehouse in Aptos.
Mar Vista is an excellent school and we are lucky to have such a great group of teachers.
We love, love, love Mar Vista. The staff is excellent and the parental involvement is fabulous. I am so happy with the communication between staff and parents via school website, newsletters and even the school's own radio station. Mr. Pushnik is a dynamic, superb teacher whose teaching style keeps the students eager to learn every day. My son is very lucky to have such a great, caring and dedicated teacher.
We have been at Mar Vista for several years. My daughter is now in 5th grade and I also have foster children who attend. I have an older daughter who struggled through other schools in the county in elementary school. I wish we started at Mar Vista. The teachers are the best. They are friendly, out going, and take the time to get to know the kids. The parents are awesome and I have formed many close friendships. The principal is good and Barbara and Dorthy in the office run the school like a well oiled machine. This is the best public school in the county.
