I went to Somerset back in 1970and 1971.. It was the best expeience I ever experience in any school I went too.. The teachers back then were more then teachers.. They made you there family.. They gave more then just books to learn, they gave them selfs and there heart to there students.. those years I spent there seam like yesterday to me , no bad or ill feelings just all good.. I grew up allot and learned allot.. And I owe it all to those teachers and to Somerset school.. Thank you Somerset for giving me a life that I am proud of today.. Connie Easterwood

I have been in this school for two years now and hopefully will graduate this year. Great school with an awsome and one of the greatest principals Bellflower USD can have Mr. Dixon. At first i was scared of going to a continuation school. I thought bullies or trouble makers go to continuation school but upon entering i loved it there. I do have to say the most teachers are there for you and will work with you one on one and are willing to explain over and over if they have to get you to understand the curriculum. I have no regrets ever coming to this school and im glad that my diploma is going to say Somerset High School because i know that Somerset is a WASC (Western Association of Schools & Colleges) accredited school as well as an Alternative Schools Accountability Model School!!!! Go Saints!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was origianally against my children attending a contination school. I thought of coninuation schools as schools for bad kids. But,after my oldest child attended somerset, I realized I couldnt have been farther from the truth. This is by far the best school I have ever seen. The teachers really care about the kids and go out of their way to help the students. They want the kids to really learn their lessons. (students who receives a grade lower then a 'C' on any work they do. must redo it until they get at least a 'C' )The Teachers dont just give the student a 'D' or a 'F' and pass them to another teacher. Any child would be very lucky to attend somerset. My 2 oldest children graduated from somerset. If at all possible both my 2 youngest children will also attend and graduate from somerset. Other schools could really learn alot from somerset.

My son, has only been going to Somerset for a short time but it was the best thing I could have done for him. The school has already done alot. At Mayfair he was getting F's he is an ADD child and they seemed not able to handle him because of his learning disability. Now at Somerset he is getting B's and they seem to care about him and his grades. He feels better about him self now and he is even doing better at home. I just want to say THANK YOU.
