Teachers care, intimate environment, fantastic experience! We are at this gem of a school for the citizenship and morals that are taught and expected from PK-8. Every single child that attends here is so respectful, kind and eager to help...ALL THE TIME!! The academics are top notch, although they come secondary to service. They have small classroom sizes. This fosters a positive, warm environment where teachers and staff are able to focus on the individual students and truly cultivate them as people. The junior high teachers are phenomenal...(other grades too, but it is so apparent in the grade 6-8 students.) The 8th grade teacher has been there for many years and is incredible. The entire eighth grade class got into their 1st choice high schools. The graduating students participate in an annual musical...it's awesome seeing even the boys get involved and play a part! Our kids are so happy here!

This school has been around for over 80 years and it is still going strong. It has gone through some rough patches and has weathered the storm bravely and fiercely. It has suffered many setbacks due to economic and financial strains. Yet, it is still standing brightly in the midst of a secular environment. Currently, the school is ushering in a new principal that will lead and guide it in a new direction through innovation, technological advancement and theatre/art. Also, this school is committed to building strong relationships with the commmunity, and it is dedicated to providing service activities to the less fortunate. Also, the school is building up its sports program that will eventually produce some great athletes. Through the dedication and hard work of some visionary teachers, the sports program will evolve and include a variety of sports. Overall, this school is worth looking into becasue it is a force to be reckoned with. Given the limited resources and the overall layout of its premises, it has the ability to endure and attract.

As an alumni parent of Good Shepherd I can see the long lasting effects the school has impressed upon my son. From extrodinary academics (yea Saxton math!) friendships that carry on past high school and empahsis of service to others in charity - a trio of qualities were were fortunate as a family to have found.

I personally saw how an older student (maybe 4th-6th grade) approached a pre-K student to comfort him and make sure he is alright after the younger student took a stumble and fell to the ground. Comforting to see how older kids look out after the younger ones. A simple gesture displaying a sense of community, camaraderie and compassion.

Good Shepherd is a an amazing little Beverly Hills secret. Our children have attended for four years and still jump out of bed in the morning excited to get to school. The class size is small so they get great attention. It's a very familial atmosphere and a safe environment. We tried the local public school for a year and couldn't get our son to Good Shepherd fast enough. Would highly recommend the school.

Love this school! Fantastic teachers, great curriculum, strong interest in the children's success. My son attended Good Shepherd for Pre-K, Kindergarten and First Grade...when we moved out of town and enrolled him into another Catholic School he tested spectacularly ahead of his grade level! The enrollment coordinator asked --where did he come from? He came from Good Shepherd! ...a school that has built a solid foundation for our children based on strong academics, faith and character. I would highly recommend this school!

Notice how the enrollment goes down in 7th & 8th grades? The teachers allow bullying and sometimes are the bullies. Wouldn't recommend this school.

Good Shepherd has a great staff and really nice families...if you want to send your child to a grade school that gives a strong foundation for High School, it should be one of your top picks. They have highly educated teachers who are very involved with their students' education, as well as a fantastic group of parents who are involved and hands-on. We love the Art program and the musical that the Jr. High puts on every year. WONDERFUL PLACE!!!

Good Shepherd School is an amazing school. Beautiful and well located building, academically challenging, with a great sense of fairness that would leave the students with an unique life lessons and experiences. My daughter has grown beautifully sense she has been there, and I know as a mother, that it has a lot to do with this wonderful school. Ms.Miller is a wonderful Principal, consistently on top of every issue that appears, always with grace and respect. We could not be more pleased! 7th Grade Parent.

There is no perfect school but by far Good Shepherd is as close as perfect. Teachers have much respect for each student and because of that not one child falls threw the cracks. It feels great to know that my daughter is getting ready for her future in a positive way and not to mention she is happy there.

My children have attended Good Shepherd Catholic School since Kindergarten, and I couldn't be more pleased with the education they are receiving. Good Shepherd is academically challenging, spiritually enriching, and the teachers and principal are warm, welcoming and truly invested in their students' success. The students are also enriched by a curriculum that includes art, P.E., Spanish classes, and a phenomenal music program headed by the talented Mario Raven. My son, who will graduate this year, is headed to Loyola High School, and I am confident that Good Shepherd has done an excellent job of preparing him for the rigors of high school academics.

Now an alumni after 9 years (k-8), and a child in high school, GS prepared him for the challenges ahead in both mind and spirit. Most teachers are Master's level and a principal who moved the school ahead technically and physically; this gem is tucked away in a great neighborhood and community.

I couldn't agree more with this last review. Our children just love this school!! Our eldest child is also in the 8th grade class with Ms. Widman and we just found out our son was accepted to the Catholic High School of his choice. Our family is just thrilled!!! Thank you Ms Widmann..

My son has been a student at Good Shepherd for the last seven years. He is now in the eighth grade and getting ready to graduate. I couldn't be more pleased with the education that this school has given him. The 8th Grade teacher Ms Widmann is excellent! What a terrific job she has done preparing our children for High School Entrance Exams, even going as far as having mock interviews with them. The Principal Ms. Miller has done so many wonderful things with the school. Us parents can actually see where our fundraising $$ goes... All the kids in my son's class are so happy in this school and it reflects in their test scores. I highly recommend this school...

This is a small school but has a very friendly environment. The teachers are very nice and they make you feel at home. The school offers a lot of activities that children would like to do, like sports, plays and other things.

I like the location of the school. The teachers and students seems to be very nice. They have good athletics program although they don't have enough equipment to support the sports program. The school slao need a library.

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students.
