My son had Mrs. Wood for kindergarten. She was very patient with him. There was strong communication between her and I through the use of notes and phone calls. She was also flexible and able to meet me if I had any concern. She created new and exciting lessons to keep children to engaged!

Edison Elementary is a caring and supportive learning environment which has motivated my grandson to passionately learn subject and life lessons. The staff is committed to their mission and there are many support systems to help students thrive. The parent community is active and welcoming. I'm pleased with how well my student is performing.

The teacher are wonderful, although several great ones gone because of various reasons. The principal is often gone from school. I heard she left to go Christmas shopping one day. She caters to the involved parents and those who may sue, but she does little about student safety. Check her parking spot one day. I'll bet it's empty.

Wonderful, caring and competent teachers, highly involved parents, a great principal-- with one child already at Edison and another starting next year, we couldn't be happier with this school. There's a real sense of community at Edison, and the children respond to it.

Horribly rude and disrespectful Administrative staff. As a parent you hope for a nurturing and caring environment for your children, not run into people who have an negative attitude.

Edison Elementary expects a lot of its students and they learn to deliver! Faculty is very friendly and caring. My daughter is excited to go to school every morning. Lots of homework for the fourth grade, but they are learning responability. Edison is molding bright, enthusiastic leaders for tommorrow. I highly recommend.

They've made my son, who is a Celiac kid, comfy and made sure he's healthy and safe while at school.

A wonderful school with a very caring principal. Extremely involved parents who congregrate before and after school to speak with teachers and each other about how they can enrich the scholastic experience. We really like the schools divided opening giving the teacher the opportunity to teach reading to only 1/2 the class for 45 minutes at a time. The teachers are very accessible and professional and the assemblies are very informative and ecclectic. This is one of Burbank's many gems!

When I think of all of the effort I put into getting my child into Edison, I only have bitter laughter. I've visited inside the campus twice and the office staff completely ignored my presence. The school has what is called a divided opening which is completely inconvenient. Whoever heard of having to bring your child to school at 9pm? Are all of the parents stay-at-home caregivers? The parents of the kindergartners hang out at the kindergarten entrance like gangmembers, blocking the entrance to the kindergartners. The kindergarten program is obviously suited for kids who had stay at home parents who taught them little to nothing. If your child attended any type of preschool program, expect major boredom with the possibility of some loss of skills. I have major regrets of turning down my child's acceptance into an LAUSD magnet school that was also a full-day kindergarten program and had API scores above 800.

Great school, lots of involved parents, Principle okay, most teachers amazing so far. Test scores and school rating have dropped since last year. Needs to be brought up. Other schools in the area, test scores rose. Used to be an 8 with an 822 score now we are a 7 with a 813 score.

My daughter attends Edison and has had a great experience. The staff is caring and her teacher Mrs. Solice is amazing! She has learned so much in a short time. I also like that she will be given 1st grade work in the areas she excels.

I think edison parent wise is great. We have some great teachers but some that should hit the road. Principal is nice but maybe should take a better stand on her views and not be pushed around by other parents and or teachers but be in control of her school. Yard duties not be so concerned about running and focus on what is actually going on in the playground. overall clean school a lot of parent involvement great fundraising nice community.
