I love this school! It's my last year here though...two years isn't enough! The teachers are all great and fair, the students are nice, there is a wide variety of electives, AWESOME rallies and dances, and fun lunchtime activites! I recomend Chico Junior 11 out of 10!

Wow, im suprised that there are so many bad reviews of this school. I graduated just this year and loved my two years here. Unlike some of the other reviews say, i thought the staff was nice and the teachers all about the students. It does have some iffy teachers but really, what school doesn't? I think most of the bad reviews you hear are told by parents with students doing bad in school, who blame the school because their 'great' little learners couln't possibly get an F.

As far as I am concerned, my children all received an excellent education at Chico Junior High. The teachers are well trained and responsive to parents and the students needs. They have an excellent elective program and many extracurricular activities. It is a slice of the real world. The teachers prepare the students for high school extremely well.

We love this school! The principal is wonderful (Joyce Burdette), we are so sorry that she is retiring and won't be there next year. The music program is absolutely amazing!!!

CJHS has changed drastically for the worse since new admin was brought in this year. The new admin is never to be seen before, during, or after school like the prior admin who used to be actively involved in daily campus life. The campus supervisors do their best, but there seems to be only a few there at lunch and afterschool. Student safety seems to be an issue that needs to be dealt with. Student and staff moral seems to be down this year as compared to last, although the quality of education both of my children received/s is highly adequate. So, if you are thinking about enrolling your child, make sure that you start with quality of admin. at CJHS.

The staff at this school may be the worst in the area. They are union fanatics who consistently put their selfish needs before the students.
