My son was only there for a few months 2010 then they closed down, I was hoping to have my son start kinder there but after everything happen "change of plans". I was very unhappy with how they handled things..On top of everything they refuse to pay me back the tuition that I had paid, they keep giving me the run around, very unprofessional and irresponsible! I would not recommend anyone to put there child at CVCS! -Coronado
I would like to write a word of encouragement on behalf of our principals and teachers at CVCS. It s admirable to see their passion to love and educate our children, despite the location. The downturn in our economy has unfortunately caused some students and teachers to go into different locations, but it has produced more of a healthy setting in terms of the attention that our children are receiving in class. I m thankful for the adminstration that took into consideration of my drive time and adjusted the schedule to help me and are always available to accommodate any of my special circumstances, if I choose to bring the matter up to them. I continue to maintain trust in our principal and the teaching staff. I m looking forward to see what takes place in the future at CVCS. It s exciting to see that our property is almost complete. I think all parents should visit CVCS staff and come to their own prayerful consideration to where to place their children to be loved and educated.
We enrolled our child in the pre K program several years ago. We were impressed with the quality of education and committment to the students. The 2010 school year took a dramatic change. Teachers were leaving and so were the students. Several rumors hinted to the financial instability of the school. As the 2011 school year was set to begin in August, we recieved a letter informing us that CVCS classes will be held in Montclair since the school remodel was not completed as scheduled. In fact we were told that January of 2012 would be the new completion date. Once at the temporary school the class would be combined with a different grade level. This was not communicated until the first day of class. To add insult to injury the school hours were changed to a later time. The adminstration made it clear that if we dropped off our childeren at our normal time of 8 am we would be charged for extened care. We no longer have confidence or trust in the curent admistration to be honest about the future of CVCS. It is unfortunate that CVCS is merely a shadow of what it once was.
As a parent, I have a tremendous responsibility to place my children in an educational environment where they will grow spiritually and academically. I am very grateful that I have found that place at CVCS. The teachers are very loving and Godly. I have respect for the Administration for making tough decisions when they had to be done. That has spoken volumes to me! This reveals that the administration does put the children s interests above their own reputation. That is leadership and CVCS has it. The school does have a Godly and educated principle that is always approachable. I am glad to know that CVCS welcomes parental involvement and has meetings, so we can learn how we can volunteer at the school.
I have been so pleased with the quality of education and support for my child. My son started at Chino Valley Christian School in Preschool and graduated from the Junior High. Every year was filled with joy and with success. We have received everything we had hoped for and what we had invested as well. Thank you CVCS administration and staff for the high standards and expectations for the school, the parents and our students.
My son has attended this school for 4 1/2 years. We have seen all the ups and downs over the years. We once loved and supported the school. Yet we can no longer support an Administration who continues to put their interests in front of the students. This school has fired a Principal and teacher over the last 4 months. I am heart-broken at the choices they continue to make. Although the teachers and staff are among the best in the area, I would highly encourage parents to look into other schools that have a better program and offer a more quality education.
Hello to all who is reading this. I have went to CVCS since I was in Pre-School. I am sorry but this school is really bad and boring. since pre-school they have been using the same books over and over again. Now I am in 7th Grade and I go to a public school. there books are atleast the mose up-to-date. it is a big whopper of 12 years since the last books were updated to this school. And the president of this school won't even have a PTSA thing because he want's to be in complete control. and they even only have modulars not even real buildings. the teachers here are very unorganized and not very good. I would recommend going to the near-by school Newman for the elementary and what ever the nearest jr. high there is. oh yeah they raise the prices every year.
New principal with extensive history in Christian education. Advancng with new multiple intelligence approach and evolving curriculum. Strong Christian values integrated within all curriculum. Dual accreditation. My children enjoy this school and are strong academically.
This is a great school. The school is dually accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). With Multiple Intelligent approach to Christ-centered education, students at our school excel academically, develop socially, prepare physically, grow spiritually. I strongly belive that we are a 21st century school that has the capacity to prepare our students to meet the future challenge and to have a bright future.
Classroom discipline is VERY strict, almost like military school, which is not right for everyone. Yet, severe bullying/threats went under punished. (Things that an adult could be arrested for.) I now have a young child who HATES school. Be prepared for lots of homework that is busy-work for paretns and not based on real world situations. Lots of errors in textbooks (science/health). LARGE class sizes - not what is listed here. Public school could not have them this large. Highest area wide tuition with very high increases each year. Kids are taught regurgitate data & pass tests, not think for themselves. Had teacher tell me if the answer isn't in the teacher book then it's not right - period. Rather disappointing experience.
