Palomar Elementary school provides a nurturing environment and has a strong sense of family. I have worked at another local school and see the positive difference the staff and parents make at Palomar. My daughter has attended this school since kindergarten and I always felt it was a safe, caring and positive environment. I have nothing but positive experiences to share about this great little school. It reminds me of how schools used to be when I was growing up, very nurturing.
I was very disappointed with the principle and the way she handles herself professionally. I was trying to take my son there ( due to the fact I heard good things about the school) The principle denied him because of one of his family members goes there and is often late to school. I would have never found out the exact reason she denied him, but she turned around and told the principle from his current school. She never took the time to ask me or my son anything he was judged by what his cousin does
Both of my children attend Palomar and I could not have chosen a better school. My children are both GATE Students and love the video production and Odyssey of the Mind. Their past teachers have been wonderful and such an influence on my children. Principal Carrol is very hands on and very easy to communicate with. I am very proud to say my children attend Palomar.
Palomar has provided a positive learning environment for my children. My son is bright and has special needs. The teachers have always accomodated to his learning needs. The teachers he's had, have gone above and beyond the call of duty to make sure he excels. They have put a lot of effort into his IEP. The teacher's have not only focused on academics, but also on the social development and enrichment of both my children.
The teachers and school adminstrative staff is extremely supportive and have helped my kids excel to their maximum potential. When special challanges have come up they have efficiently rose to the occasion with a professional and caring attitude.
