Freedom has a wonderful sports program and the best choir I have ever heard in addition to a balanced curriculum.
Too much emphasis on fun and games, not enough academic challenge.
Freedom is a wonderful school! They keep everyone informed of events that are happening. The teaching staff and administration are very attentive and respond to questions in a very timely manner. My son had a wonderful experience there in first grade!
The level of education has been fine so far, but... Very low parent involvement. Extra-curricular activities are over saturated with children and not enough adults. Library resources are low. Tech is also in need.
So happy to have moved in the clovis area in 2000. Great school 'freedom', my son is very happy and is very comfortable with the surroundings of the school and so far the teachers have been great.
Freedom elementary is a magnificent school. The teachers are dedicated and enthusiastic. They support the children and encourage them in a very positive way all the while communicating with the parents. My son is so thrilled by his teacher and continues to learn by not only her knowledge but by her example. The principal is awesome and shows great pride in not only the staff but the campus. I appreciate all they do!
I would say this school is ok. My experiance has been one year good teacher the next not so good.
I believe that Freedom Elementary is a high achieving school that offers a wide variety of activities for students. Parents are free to visit the classroom and participate in many activities.
My opinion of the school is very poor. Nothing but trouble with our kids experience. School started yesterday and already there are problems with the schools staff. My oldest went to miramonte and had a better experience.
Freedom in my opinion is the best new school in Clovis Unified. Freedom has a wonderful staff and a very committed principal. The quality of education at this school superb. The teacher are very invloved and encourage parent involvement at every level. The test scores at this school is one of the best district wide. As far as the extracurricular activities they offer alot for the students. Band beginning at fourth grade, competiton choir, oral interpretation, odyssey of the mind, science fair competition, track, basketball, volleyball, wrestling, cross country, softball, baseball, soccer, are just a few of the activities children can become involved with. The parents of freedom are very supportive and throw many events during the year including the mother son dance, father daughter dance, school carnival, doughnut with dads, muffins with mom, parent appreciation luncheon, among many others. This school is by far one of the best.
