Overall great progress. Lower grade teachers are friendly and eager to teach. They work well as a grade level team and all students seem to be one the same track in the grade level.

This is the most amazing school I've known. They have weekly coffee with the Principal, teachers that really care about each child and a PTA that really reaches out to the parents. They have a state of the art Library and Technology Media Center staffed with a teacher that works with kids that might be getting behind. They even have an annual camp out for the whole school. I think the parents complaining are probably people with kids that couldn't get along with anyone. Like all schools, Cypress has a few people that can't seem to get with the program. They are the most likely to complain on line. The principal cares deeply about kids.

Cypress was a very good elementary when my children attended it for all their elementary years. The principal was caring and concerned about his students. Teachers were supportive and were interested in their success and performance.

Quality seems to be okay. Music and art are available however, the school didn't promose much extracurricular activities. There wasn't much promotion for parent involvement.

I am very pleased with the education two of my boys have received and my doughter is currently receiving. Although, I see that demographics drasticly changing and that may effect the quality of teaching in our schools. What surprises me is the school demographics does not reflect the neighborhood demographics and that could be due to our open enrollment district policy that does not really verify that kids are really living in the address provided. I was very surprise how easy was to enroll our newphew that leaves out of the area in to the school district and how casually parents you meet tell you that they leave in Azusa or Baldwin Park. Parents should put presure on district to have a more strict enrollment policy. Arcadia school district does bed inspections on students to verify that they are living on the address provided.

My child has attended this school from K - 3rd grade and every year this school is below average on the standard testing scores. I am trying to move my child to a different school because of the bad reviews this school is receiving every year. I think all the parents need to start pressuring the principal as to what is his plans on improving the students reading/writing skills. Remember your child's education is critical.

Well Parents If you'r Child has always attended this school you may not have much to complain about UNTIL you see the difference in schools by going to another school. I have the experience of seeing the reading level of this school is terrible and the writing skills aren't good. The kids haven't been taught at the speed of other schools. The way they punish the kids if a minor thing is done is not exceptable and many of the parents feel if they had a chance to go some place else they would! My childreen are not in this school any more and will not return. We have moved in order to provide the best education for our kids. Sorry but this school does not get my vote!
