A school on the move! The community has been very supportive by passing bonds and finding funding for a great number of facility improvements in the last eight years. The principal is stellar; she truly cares about ALL of her students and is passionate about their success. Extra curricular activities abound in a variety of areas. The Career Pathways curriculum focus encourages students to explore areas of interest and ability. A broad variety of pathways are available with technical, trade and college-bound emphasis. The Associated Student Body is very focused on student involvement and provides a broad variety of events, activities and overall FUN! Clubs and service opportunities are available to all in a broad range of interests. While the ELD academic performance still has room for improvement, it's not for lack of academic preparation on the school's part. Keep an eye on DHS, they are headed in the right direction!
A great school for everybody to enroll. their marching band is the best including the colorguard
This is a good school, but if students or parents want it to be improved they should get more involved with the school instead of just only giving their opinions all the time
Its an overall good school. But the band and colorguard need money for their program. Amazingggggg principal!
Dinuba is an awesome school with fun activities. Most of the teachers really care about the kids and the overall grades are improving.
This school is not a 'great school'. It is definitely above average, but not stellar. The AP and Honors program is weak and lacks student involvement. The music program is unusually strong in comparison to the rest of the school. Students in the music program are generally at the tops of their classes, while the rest of the school severely lacks academic promise. While there are some excellent, stellar teachers that are definitely worth your student's while, they are balanced by oppositively poor staff. Parent involvement is definitely what makes the school work and keep itself afloat. The level of involvement can be seen at many events throughout the school year. Extra-Curriculars are also very widely available in relation to the size of the school. The student body is very diverse in interests.
The school has a variety of academic programs to meet the needs of Special Ed students, EL learners, and Honors/AP students. The school also reevaluates and makes changes to academic programs as needed. Music, art, and other electives are still available to all students, but many must take more English and math classes to try to achieve grade-level status. Parent involvement in activities and sports is very high, but is greatly lacking in academics.
