I am throughly impressed with the education my sons (3rd grade and Kindergarten) are receiving. The smaller class sizes (one has 15 students, one has 9) means more personalized attention. For example, when a standardized test showed my 3rd grader has unusually high spacial understanding, Mrs. Handcock added a section on origami to the unit on Japan. He was delighted. I feel like the parents and teachers are all on the same team and support each other. Parents are encouraged to get to know one another. Teachers don't just care about what your child is learning but about how he is growing emotionally and socially. Again, when my 3rd grader did well on a timed math test he had been studying for weeks for, Mrs. Handcock texted me immediately so that we could have a celebration dinner ready. My Kindergartener is reading much faster than we expected because Mrs. Bru takes the time to send home enrichment activities that are more than just busy work. This is a supportive, loving villiage that cares about how the entire child is growing.

My daughter has been attending St. Philip for the past 4 years and I couldn't envision her going to school anywhere else. The academics are rigorous, and the teachers are incredible. They are always happy to discuss my child both academically and socially. I feel incredibly lucky to be able to leave my daughter in the hands of a community of people that work incredibly hard to make sure that she has all the tools necessary to be a successful and well-rounded individual. The families I have met have been incredible and I see them not only at birthday parties and drop off time, but also at events like pasta night, movie night, the talent show, and the yearly auction that always has the most amazing items for the whole family. If you're looking for a great education for your chile, make sure St. Philip makes your list!

St. Lutheran is a fantastic school. I love that the class sizes are small, which in my opinion makes a far better learning environment. The teachers and staff are very flexible and understanding to each child's individual needs. Their academic curriculum is stellar and I feel my son has learnt so much in the past few months. So happy that we are able to also take advantage of Spanish, music and computer lessons as part of the required curriculum.

This is an outstanding school! The class sizes and teaching staff are the best in the valley, but it's the supportive, Christ-centered environment that makes it a special place for my children. My two kids have attended St Philip since preschool, and they feel comfortable and encouraged. They also love learning Spanish, computers, and playing on school sports teams.

My daughter has attended St. Philip since Kindergarten and currently is in 3rd grade. We have been very happy at St. Philip and are looking forward to 4th grade already. My daughter loves school and is happy every day to get up and go to St. Philip. The teachers are very kind, helpful and do an over all great job. There are many school events that make you feel as if you are part of a family. There is always something going on at St. Philip that is enriching the students. The academics and Christian environment make us very happy to attend St. Philip.

St. Philip is a truly wonderful and special place. We provide a Christ-centered education on a safe and secure campus in west Dublin. Each child has the opportunity to develop spiritually, emotionally, cognitively, physically, and socially. Our teachers, support staff and principal are passionate about providing a quality education for all students. St. Philip has achieved the status of accreditation by Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), validating the integrity of our schools programs. WASC accreditation certifies that a school is trustworthy, with a solid focus on continuously improving programs to support student learning. j I truly believe that you will find St. Philip a warm and welcoming place for you and your child during their educational journey.

Terrible place to work with no teacher training and support. Worst principal I have ever worked with. It's ridiculous that the teachers are never held accountable to what they teach the kids. Having worked here, I would never send my kids here.

St. Philip Lutheran School is the perfect school for our daughter. Prior to attending St. Philip, my daughter used to go to a public school where she was bullied at an early age of 5 (Kindergarten). We decided to move her and we're glad to have found St. Philip. It has a nurturing environment and it helped my daughter regain her self-esteem. She's been attending St. Philip for 2 years now since 1st grade and she's made a lot of good friends. She enjoys going to school everyday. The principal, teachers, and staff are dedicated. Due to its small size, the teachers are able to focus on the needs of each student. Students who are more advanced are given extra challenges, while students who need more help are given the attention they need. I'm really impressed with their curriculum (e.g. book reports starting at 1st grade; challenging math problems; creative and persuasive writing at 2nd grade). I highly recomment this school. My daughter once told me, "Mommy, I love my school. Thank you for bringing me to St Philip." That's why I know this is the perfect place for her.

We have a 5th and 3rd grader in their second year at St. Philip. My son had issues with bullying in public school that took a toll on his self esteem and grades. Since attending here, his self esteem has skyrocketed, his grades went from almost failing to A's and B's, and he enjoys school again. PE and recess are no longer aggressive forms of competition for either of my children, but there is encouragement and guidance from other students, even students from the upper grades helping students in lower grades. The class sizes allow for teachers to challenge the students who are ahead while giving extra attention to those who need it. This also allows teachers a chance to have better communication with the parents. The principal and her staff are all second to none, each of them are very caring and they all go above and beyond during the school day and for after school activities. I'm very proud to be part of the SPLS family.

This is a wonderful school. My sons both go here (k and 3rd) and the attention that the teachers provide is something very special. They know every child in the class intimately; the small class sizes and personal attention ensure that the education customized to each students unique needs. I highly recommend this school to anyone wishing great teaching, a personalized learning environment and caring staff.

St Philip school is awesome! The teachers are very kind hearted and loving. Mrs Packard (the principal) is awesome as well. My daughter loves going to school each week and counts down the days when she will be going back to school. With that said I definitely know she is in good hands. The school is gated and the teachers are well trained to not let the children go with just anyone. I love that!

St. Philip is a great place to learn and grow! We offer an excellent Christ centered academic education in a loving environment where our children can thrive. We are a very close knit community and are truly a family; continually supporting and caring for one another. Each and every child is safe, secure and given so much to ensure that they learn and excel academically, spiritually, emotionally and physically. The kids love is here and I love working here. This school has small class sizes, ensuring that your child receives the attention that they deserve and need to excel. Our children receive a well rounded education, become involved in helping their community, serve those in need, grown in their relationship with our Lord and are prepared scholars for what lies ahead. Please stop by and visit our special school and come for a tour to see what we are about! St. Philip easily receives 5 stars without a doubt!

We love this school, but most importantly my daugter who goes to the preschool loves it and is always eager to go. They do a lot of fun projects and learn a lot of skilks. The teachers know all the students well and give individual attention. The preschool is very affordable.

We have been at St. Philip for the past seven years and have been so happy with the education our three children received. The teachers and staff, even ones who haven't had my children in class, know our family by name and have made it such a welcoming place. My kids were prepared well by the preschool for kindergarten, and were taught foundations of faith that made an impact on them. They work hard to connect the entire student body to each other. The community here is truly rich. I feel that St. Philip is a special place where children are loved, accepted and blossom into the unique people they are created to be.

St. Philip has been a wonderful blessing for our family. Our son has been in the school since Kindergarten (a Full time K is what we were looking for) and the years he has gone there have all been wonderful. He loves the schools and is happy to know that each teacher looks out for him. Also the small class size, has really helped him with his subjects and get personalized attention to address where he excels and where he needs help. The school fosters a community feeling among all the grades, so the students interact as one big family. We are truly lucky to have found such a wonderful nuturing environment for our son to grow in.

This is a wonderful small school. The small class sizes and wonderful teachers and staff make this school a great place to work and to attend. All staff are caring, loving and nurturing making this school one of a kind. The faculty truly cares about every child allowing the children to feel at home to blossom in their academics, gain self confidence and self esteem. This is truly a once in a lifetime experience that should not be missed.

St. Philip's is a real jewel of a school here in Dublin. The low teacher - student ratio is a real treasure in today's world of budgets cut backs and the raising teacher - student ratio. I have only observed caring and committed teachers, staff and administration. The school is a safe environment for all children to grow and learn not only academically but spiritually, socially and emotionally. I wish all children could experience a small learning environment such as this.

Forewarning my children DO NOT attend here. However, I have wanted my children to attend in the past. I have toured as well as my husband... I also have friends whose children attend this school. However, every time I visit, it is not very friendly. The receptionist looks so scattered and almost acts as if i am making a mistake by being there. It may be due to the fact I look young, although I am not... I have always felt uneasy when almost registering my children. First second and third impressions can make or break influential decisions, in this case it has: My kids will not be attending this school.

I highly recommend St Philip School. I'd suggest you make an appointment to come visit and interview the teachers and students. Come and observe for yourself. Our family has attended St Philip elementary school for two years so far. The teachers are so amazing. One of many great things about this school is parents get feedback from the teachers not only on the students' ongoing test results and progress, their strengths, and their behaviors, but also areas needed improvements on. They find ways to deliver lessons effectively and creatively. When the students already meet and exceed the state and school expectation, the teachers challenge the students to the higher levels. The students like it because they are proud of themselves. I believe that a good learning starts from early years of school. Better build a strong learning foundation so the kids don't get lost or discouraged with education. The school principal is always on top of things. Our family is returning to this school next year. We're also coming to the summer sessions. We hope you'd consider joining SPLS community. It's all about kids and their future.

St Philip is absolutely the best school for educating my child! We started at St Philip because of their preschool. Then when my daughter was going into kindergarten, we stayed at St Philip because of the full-day kindergarten program. So then she went to public school for first grade. That was a full day class and we thought, "First grade is first grade--what's the difference?" Well, let me tell you, there is a difference! We thought maybe our daughter was ahead of the class because she had a great kindergarten experience at St Philip. But then we realized that everything that they were learning in public first grade was a repeat of what she learned in kindergarten at SPLS. So we went back to St Philip for second grade. Now she was behind. But the caring, nurturing teachers there helped bring her up to speed. The small class size lets them get individual attention! They also have combined classes there so the 8th graders are leaders and role models for the 7th graders, and so on. So now my girl is ready for middle school. We had thought that this might be the right time to transition into a larger public school environment, but NO WAY! She wants to stay at St Philip. Me too.

St. Philip Lutheran School is an outstanding school. Besides an unmatched focus on values, personal responsibility, and religion -- SPLS educates kids to a higher standard. The teacher to student ratio is low and the core knowledge curriculum leads to greater comprehension in a well-rounded variety of subjects. Children are very engaged in school activities, and, due to the small class size, are encouraged to excel to their personal limits. Homework is significant but good, and parental involvement is expected/encouraged. St. Philip Lutheran School is a great place to send your kids.

My daughter has gone to St. Philip for 3 years now, pre-school thru first grade and next year my son will start in their pre-school program. I cannot give enough praise to the teachers and staff at this school. The class size is extremely small which guarantees fabulous one on one time. Each child is praised for their successes. My child is reading so well, better, faster and with more expression than most 3rd graders I know that attend public schools. They have a great spanish program and offer a lot of extra curricular activities for a small private school. The children start every morning with prayer and the atmosphere is so loving and kind. I recomend every one to check this school out before opting to the larger Valley Christian or St. Raymonds that tend to pull in the larger crowds. You wont regret it!

St. Philip has been a blessing to our family. Our child has grown as a person and as a student. The teachers are loving and concerned about the student as a whole. The smaller class sizes help to assure that our child is getting the attention and help he needs every day. Excellent choice for any child.

I am very sorry for the most recent review. It is my opinion, as an educator, that St. Philip offers an excellent Christian education with high academic standards. Yes, growth is coming! My wife, my children, and I look forward to the bright future!

The class size is very small at the school which is nice. Unfortunately we found that once we changed to public school our children had a very difficult time catching up on the learning to be equal with public standards. We heard the same thing from other parents whose children attended the school. I also found alot of gossip and that the staff didn't demonstrate guiding Christian principles when working with our family.

Prior to coming to St. Philip I had taught in several other schools in CA. I am so impressed with this school. The staff is dedicated to their students and to one another. Each day is begun in prayer and encouragement. Families and students alike are spoken of with respect and care which is a wonderful environment to work in. I am encouraged at every level to grow and continue my education. I wouldn't want to teach anywhere else.

St. Philip School has exceeded my expectations as a school to develop the two most important people in my life. My two daughters, who are vastly different from one another, and having different needs, are both excelling at St. Philip School in academics and social atmospheres. The school's challenging curriculum has helped my youngest daughter, who is currently in kindergarten and only attended preschool for a few months, to read at the 1st grade level. My oldest daughter to delevop her creativity, which academically is her strong suite. Both my daughters have developed great friendships at the school and also an understanding of the importance of helping one another. School projects such as conducting charity drives for the needy are developing my children to be the leaders of tomorrow. I would definitely recommend St. Philip School to any parent who wants the best for their

Our daughter attended a public school before she began attending St. Philip. The academic standards of St. Philip are well above what we experienced in the public school system. Both her reading and mathematical abilities are substantially ahead of the typical child at her grade level. Our daughter is not only maturing nicely academically but also socially thanks to St. Philip's nuturing environment.
